I honestly don’t understand how people are bothered that she has children. Her decision to have kids is literally none her fans’ business. She doesn’t need their approval. And so long as she’s still able to do her job, what difference does it make that she has children?
Bs societal expectations, in Japan, idols are meant to represent innocence and purity that's what makes them appealing. The fact that she had children means that she had sex and had fallen in love with another man. In that sense, she's no longer "pure". A lot of fans would've been upset upon hearing this about their favorite innocent idol and yet a select few bold ones would even go so far as to kill her. It's an unfortunate toxic mentality that exists even in real life.. I believe Oshi no ko itself was inspired by a real life incident in Japan.
@@adriantsai3542 it actually kind of was. AI’s death was inspired by the real life stabbing of Mayu Tomita. Both girls were attacked by a deranged fan, but fortunately Tomita was able to survive.
What everyone needs to get in their ugly heads is that Idols are people too. Asking them to represent this and embody that just goes against all the possible kinds of happiness they needed for themselves as well. The “purity and innocence” deranged fans want them to personify is nothing but isolation and living life without a shred of romantic love 💕 ❤️ 💗 in their lives. Now that’s fucked up twisted 😡.

The dating/relationship one for example… they’re supposed to be single as a way of appeasing their fans 🤷♂️, but under other circumstances I’d be thinking that there’s no way most of these people aren’t seeing someone.
That’s part of the story’s conflict friend. The entertainment industry is horribly toxic and cut-throat. If you become a public figure the public believes that to some extent they own you, and will always try to know as much about you as possible, even if it intrudes in your privacy. This is especially true for crazed and obsessed fanatics that even kill for love. Like what happened with John Lennon and Christina Grimmie.
I've only known her for that one episode. Yet, in that time, she became like a dear friend to me. Her inner strength, dedication, and optimism were beyond words. My heart became so heavy, now that she's been taken from us
@@fierytigergaming8112I won’t lie though, it does feel a little upsetting when the studio gave it their 110% when producing and marketing this series, making every detail in the first episode as clear as possible, and getting so many talented VAs to be part of the project, basically just pouring their all into this series… and then the dub makes kid Aqua and Ruby sound like teenagers. I think it’s ok, but I do wish that if Doga Kobo put in all that effort for the series, HIDIVE could’ve gone the extra mile too. It’s like if you wrote a book that became popular and was being translated so it could be sold in another country, but the translator just throws the entire script in Google Translate and immediately turning it into publishing. They _can_ do that, but you would’ve liked it if it got properly translated. Edit: That isn’t to say they didn’t do a good job or anything, hell, I think Donna Litton did a great job as Ai, a little iffy in some parts but she still managed to deliver the final scene astoundingly.
I love my mother, but until this scene, I never knew just how much I loved her. Everyone out there: if your mother loved and cared for you, make sure she knows how much she means to you. You don't know how much time you have left with her, so just hold her close, and hope you've got decades with her.
Tha-that felt way to real. No anime should make me as sad as this scene just did. No anime should make me hate that man for running like the coward he is. No anime should make me feel this much emotion for people who don't exist.
i'm sad not because i'm a simp but the fact that aqua and ruby lost a family member is so heartbreaking to be honest i swear if i was the twin's uncle i would kill ryosuke and hikaru by myself
I would always tell my friend that no anime would make me cry. See for me it feel like I have complete control of my emotions and I sometimes feel like I have no emotions. But for a brief moment this truly made me feel sad and the way she said: " I love you" made my hart bleed with pain.
Oh my good I cried repeating this scene , I really loved ai and her twins , poor aqua is so lifeless withougt ai 😢.it's as sad as when I caught my boyfriend in bed with a man
This legit fucked me up on the inside when I first watched it, like I had to stop watching and couldn't bring myself to complete the show after a few days went by.
Why am I watching this again🥲. This is the most heartbreaking scene not just in anime but in history. What put the nail in the coffin what's when her star eyes faded away😭
Honestly, just by listening to the English dub, Ai's voice sounds like an actual mother. Aqua's voice sounds like a little kid crying, and Ruby's voice sounded a bit grown up. The stalker's voice was also amazing too. But if Ai was alive, that means that the whole city will know about Ai's children.
Let's be fr, if Hikaru didn't become a William Afton's V2 Ryosuke can't never killed Ai *And of course Ryosuke also couldn't killed Ai if Ai know to use a lock-chain or know how to locked her door*

I'm saying it here just 2 be heard I scrolled over a video just after finding this 1 that said the dub version of her death was bad But it sounds fine 2 me Is just cuz her voice sounded a bit too deeper toned than how her subbed voice sounded a little bit more pitched or something ?
He was an unhealthily obsessive fan who thought he and her were meant to be together. So when he found out she was pregnant he tried to kill her in the hospital but ended up killing the doctor, then later found out where she lived and hunted her down.
Her aorta got hit. Even in real life, people rarely survive getting stabbed in that area. Since the aorta is huge and is directly connected to the heart, I'm sure you can imagine the amount of blood that would spurt out if it gets punctured.
The show sucks, for me. But.... even I, when viewing this scene can't deny... that this one moment here, was pretty well done. Hits all the right beats, and emotions. Yeah, props to making a good scene here. If only the rest of the show could live up to it.
This made a tear go down my eye. and this doesnt happen when i watch anime. this is truly a sad scene. I feel sorry for the Twins. they witnessed their mother die in-front of them. and just before she told them that she truly loved them. how much worse can it get for them.
