@@vladzoubenko9104 He pretends to be responsible and peaceful, but in fact he is only interested in rebuilding an empire like the USSR, contradicting everything he said in 2007. He warned against the use of nuclear weapons, now he threatens to use them. He spoke about respect for law and democracy, and he is behind the assassination of his political enemies, and the electoral commission freely submits self-filled ballots. You cannot openly oppose the authorities or even stand in the street with a blank piece of paper because you may be considered a terrorist. @vladzoubenko9104
@vladzoubenko9104 3 месяца назад
@@common1529 he tried being responsible and peaceful in this speech but after he realized this fell on deaf ears he started politicking the way us foreign policy acts. In a way all he’s done is follow the us model. People in Ukraine were disgruntled with their government in Kiev. Fund said group into organizing a political movement to become closer to Russia instead of the advisary. Said group then tries to use the same “guise of democracy “ to have referendum to separate from Ukrainian government. Literally the u.s playbook for regime change. Ukrainian government knows the ethnic Russians will vote to join Russia therefore must stop with violence Putin expects the world order to come in and shut down the Ukrainian government from shelling and fighting knowing he will win the referendum regardless. They don’t this shows Putin that the whole world peace ngos are a farce and that out maneuvering your advisary politically doesn’t matter when it comes to the u.s and understands that the Ukrainian army has been built up over a couple years to finally crush the resistance and end his bid at keeping Ukraine a neutral state. He therefore warns that he would rather see Ukraine forced to rubble than have nato military in Ukraine right up to the border. Again on deaf ears. He then decides that Ukraine is worth fighting for and that nato expansion will not cease until Russia is under its heel completely. The Minsk 1 and 2 agreements were also a farce to buy the west time. That’s not very diplomatic to lie and renege on deals. I don’t think he wants to rebuild the ussr. Only the respect to the interests of the state. The missles are because diplomacy is not working with the west but maybe it’ll force the citizens of the respective governments to take a closer look at their foreign policy towards Russia. Look we can argue about how many people you think he killed vs me disagreeing about the cost benefit analysis of so called killing his opponents does not make sense. To me it makes more sense for his opponents to do said things and lay it at his feet to tarnish his image but we will never change each others opinion on that one. But I will say less political/reporters have died in putins regime than yeltsins and that sorry drunk was the u.s baby. Regardless of whether you think there is ballot stuffing or not in a perfect election Putin would still win the election the people in Russia love him right or wrong this is the sentiment. That’s why I don’t understand the accusations of ballot stuffing because even by western polls there is 60-75% approval rating. The paper one I have seen a short clip of and need to revisit but from the top of my head I think you have to secure a permit to have a “protest” and he did not have one. I remember correctly the officer was asking him what he was doing and because he said I’m protesting it was deemed illegal because of no permit. That one is more so Russian law which I’m not too familiar with.

Russia, Europe cooperation on energy would have mean loss of dominance, control of usa on europe which is what Americans created such situations which resulted in where we are now. usa using, exploiting everyone for their interests, hegemony, dominance. usa has got europe under their thumb and usa's grip on europe is stronger than ever. usa destroyed the industry of Germany, usa took many of the manufacturing industries of Germany including iron, automotive, weapons etc to usa

How many US military bases surrounding Russia? Look at the map and you will be shocked. And how many Russian military bases near the US? None. The last time USSR tried to install a military base near the US we all know what happened. How many US military bases surrounding China? 313 according to some Data. And how many Chinese military bases near the US? None! This shows you how ''aggressive'' China is, a country hasn't been in war for 40+ years. It's very hypocritical for Finland and Sweden to join NATO because they are against aggression and invasion. Who's the leader of NATO, the US. Hasn't the US been invading more countries than Russia? Way more. But it's okay to join a military allience led by the US? Either the politicians are stupid or they are liers. Finnish and Swedish ones are just like the ones in the US. Look at the facts, not the media headlines.

Why not first establish some opposing perspectives? To gain an important but tiny base of understanding in response to these issues? Thats a noble sacrifice of time and brings forth serious discussion and respect among peers.

Agree. But as for the US military bases around China and Russia... US military bases are a serious threat against weak countries, but it is a serious weakness of the US against Russia or China. Because in the event of a direct conflict with these countries, the US bases will be easily destroyed one by one. It's just a dispersion of power.
@ni9274
@ni9274 3 месяца назад
There is literally not a single US military base in a country bordering Russia, you're straight up lying. The US used diplomacy to resolve the crisis instead of invading Cuba, and this wasn't a military base this was ICBM. There isn't any American ICBM in Europe meanwhile Russia has ICBM in Belarus and kaliningrad. China has been constantly harassing countries around the China's sea by illegally breaching their airspace, attacking fisherman, illegally occupying some of their island and claiming major portions of their internationally recognized Exclusive economic zone. Countries around the China's sea are asking for the US to build bases in their country to deter China from invading them, US doesn't have enough forces in the region to invade China. You don't need to be at war to be aggressive, what I just told you is by definition an aggressive behaviour, the US isn't breaching into Chinese airspace, claiming their EEZ or harassing their fisherman Joining NATO just mean you sign NATO chart and article 5, joining NATO doesn't mean you will have US military bases, NATO isn't in any way a threat to Russia it's a defensive alliance, everytime it was involved in offensive operations it was either legitimate (Serbia), very small scale and legitimate (Libya) or just as part of a coalition that would have existed even if NATO didn't exist (Afghanistan), none of these operations mobilized enough forces to be a threat to a country like Russia. The US hasn't annexed any of the country they have invaded, and in term of damage done to civilians Russia is worst than the US, the invasion of Afghanistan killed 2 millions civilians, the invasion and annexation of Chechnya killed 100.000, current invasion of Ukraine killed at least 70.000, the bombing of Syria killed 10.000. The fact that the US is in a military alliance doesn't mean that this military alliance is aggressive, especially when the alliance is all about defence. Russia also has a military alliance similar to NATO and nobody in the west is complaining about it. Putin has been a pathological lier, a few days before the war he lied to the french president by telling him he would withdraw his troops from the border of Ukraine which basically ended negotiations. You said so much lies how can you talk about "facts" ?
@vivusbrydyr4039

not only has China not been in wars for 40+ years, one look at a wikipedia page can tell you how many wars it has been overall in since ww2 (spoiler, not many, over half are border incidents). Then compare that to USA. Then hear Biden say "Conflict with China is inevitable". Now a legitimate question, who's decided that? To me, the arrows point in an obvious direction. The truth of the matter seems to have been buried, deemed irrelevant, whether China is truly a rising warmonger or not - to them it matters not, the only thing that matters, is that they decided that war is inevitable. Tells me all i need to know about so-called "western partners".

@GreetingsEarth. You are correct. USA has nearly 700 military bases across the World. This NATO expansion eastward is direct violation of agreement made in early 90's. Now no one wants to remember this. US been trying to cut off Russia from Black Sea for decades. Georgia and Ukraine are perfect examples by trying to bring them into NATO. how about Russia put bases in Panama, Florida, Alaska? Till Ukraine, Putin hasn't councoured any new territory. So stop this bs about Putin trying to rebuild USSR and thank NATO and mainly USA for all the mess going on in Ukraine, middle East, and probably soon with Asia.

Ironically, your feelings about Putin vs. other leaders might be the result of a very poorly-known feature of democracies. The vast majority of elected statesmen in the Western world come from the upper class (as is true of in most places, though Russia and China are exceptions- both Putin and Xi came from poverty). They are all supremely well-educated, and capable of speaking in the same way Putin is- maybe with different ideas, or with varying levels of intellectual depth- but almost none of them do. Why? Because, they are (semi-) elected officials. Their poll numbers and chances at re-election rest on their popularity, and that is closely tied with how relatable they seem. The vast majority of Americans don't have a tertiary level of education, so if a politician were to speak to the level of Putin, they would seem like an out-of-touch, weak, erudite. Obama was a Harvard graduate and certainly had the ability to speak like Putin does. He deliberately dumbs down his own speeches to appeal to the masses. The trend appears to be changing with Bush and Trump, but Clinton and (when his brain still worked) Biden could speak eloquently if they really needed to. European countries have a similar phenomenon. They have better overall educational standards than the US, but 1) They are politically captured by the US and so imitate its norms and 2) They want to position themselves as 'men of the people' too. Russian culture places heavy emphasis on intellectualism and philosophy; middle-school students are made to read War and Peace and Anna Karenina. It creates an entire nation of philosophers, and that seeps into every class and social group, including the political class. Hence, Putin's long-winded and intellectual way of speaking, and a seeming lack of it in the West.

Putin's got balls man ! It also clearly establishes that nato expansion was seen as extremely problematic even when it had not yet reached to stage where even Ukraine and Georgia was invited to join!

Wow. This is a really great use of AI. Well done! Also, Putin’s words were lost on a conference who only ever gave lip service and talks of peace and cooperation were seen as unserious. Time will tell how Putin will be viewed in the future.

If only we had more leaders like this man. What a different world we would have instead. Instead, we have war mongers that are fighting wars for money and power. That's the bottom line.

Merkel was the speaking partner and coordinator to USSR and later Russian Federation, during the economic crisis and fall of the Soviet Union back in 1991; she was representing Germany and she was the Protegé of the late Helmut Kohl. Putin was the time of that crisis the speaking partner and receiving coordinator of the help from Germany and protege of the late Yeltchin. Just some information to understand the context of their history.

@@christopherneufelt8971and to you. We will continue to watch these events.. i wasn't unaware of everything. I was with a university student group and their professor in moscow in 199. We left 2 days before the coup attempt was known. In late Sept/ early Oct, i.was sent back to be with a larger student group from London. I had no special expertise, but it was thought that i might perhaps be useful since i had been at the facility the group stayed at.. We saw the damaged 'white house', etc. And then we had a moscow friend in our home on Dec..31st.. I had NO SPECIAL anything about me to allow me to have such experiences. But i had a lot of blessings to be able to even be involved in any way..

He told them that in a friendly manner. They decided not to listen and basically told him to fvck off. He's showing them now, and will continue to do so till the very end if they insist in pushing their agenda down everyone's throat forcefully. They didn't wanna understand the easy way. He'll make sure they do, whichever way it takes. But they WILL understand it.
