There isn't a secret to it, the people who are really good practice every day because they love to play. After a while it becomes second nature.

I have the natural talent for music but I haven't been playing that long with lessons so that might be why.

DemonGirl666 Demon if you want it bad enough, I mean really truly want to be great your going to have to sacrifice for it. That means practicing everyday, all day, all the time. You gotta breath, live, eat, sleep bass guitar. Your young so there's plenty of time but remember this right now out there somewhere there is some other kid not wishing they were better you know what they're doing they're making themselves better. They're getting their hands on everything bass, learning from the greats like Victor Wooten and tins of others. First learn the basics perfectly, master them learn to read music if you can't read music your not going to amount to much. If you want it bad enough you'll become great because nothing can or will stop you. Only you can stop you. So don't whine about wishing you were better become better do all it takes, no matter what!!! Dedicate yourself to being the best possible bass player you possibly can be then when you know your great that's when you really begin to start learning, because once you think your good enough then you might become complacent. You never ever want to be that. There's always more to learn, always room for improvement even if one day it is said you are the greatest bass player alive. That's when you really gotta start learning your craft. Remember, eat, sleep, breath bass guitar. Read everything you can get your hands on about bass guitar. Take lessons from real pros. Don't just take lessons from just anyone either make sure the person that's going to give you lessons is a true bass player, a real true pro. Remember you want nothing but the best because that's what your going to become, the best Ever!!!!
