I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to see Drowning Pool perform with Dave at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina shortly before he passed away. I remember what an intense show he put on and how solid his vocals were. One of the few singers who sounded live just like he did on their CD. I saw Drowning Pool again in Pittsburgh years later when Ryan McCombs from Soil was their lead singer. I think they were touring in support of their Desensitized album. They were still a great band and Ryan was good but they didn't seem the same as they had the first time I saw them. Completely different sound, different band entirely.....
Ryan is a great singer but drowning pool is an entirely different band now…Ryan Is good but him trying to sing Dave’s stuff just makes them sound like a karaoke cover band Dave was an irreplaceable voice
