To be honest with you, it's really nice to not have Bagley ramble some incomprehensible gibberish towards you every five seconds you do something in the game. As much as I love and appreciate Legion, Bagley annoyed me to hell and back.
@@jackylst most the time when that happened it was cause he didn't have time to pull his mask up. If you stay behind cover long enough you'll see him pull it up
Never played the DLC, but palyed the other 2 games and *loved* them (ubisoft bullshit aside) Seeing Wrentch take off his mask to talk about abusive power gainers, and Aiden continue to just be a realistic 'batman" vigilant is just.. Damn.. maybe i should pay for this.
@@MagusFyre So I enjoyed watchdogs 1 a lot and for some part.. 2 ... How many hours is the content in this dlc ? Haven't bought Legion but I would if there are decent hours worth of content with Aiden and Wrench story
SUCH COWARDICE, SAY UNCLE IS A SACRED INCANTATION FOR THOSE PURE OF HEART! DEFILING SUCH A PRACTICE IS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH but it’s wrench so he gets a pass :3
To be fair, Aiden wasn't honoring it either, so I think it's moot. Wrench said uncle like 3 times, and Aiden didn't stop, I'm going to assume that excuses Wrench's transgression.
@@chips4582 they thought it was too ‘gloomy’ yet they all played the game. Everyone thought that Marcus was shit too but now they’re all like “bring Marcus back”
@Unga Bunga Wrench made the joke called "say uncle and ill let you go". I think it was an Easter egg from Johnny test.(when Bumper didn't let Johnny go unless he said "uncle")
It's callback from the final mission from the first game sometimes you still lose from damien, no matter aiden try to decided change a better place but aiden still lose because he thought killing quinn would fix lena's death but instead more ruthless and powerful people like quinn is gonna be as bad as quinn does when he was alive especially quinn's son niall decided to take his father footstep as a new boss of chicago south club and wants revenge for aiden for killing his father.
What I want em to do is maybe a game or a few games where they follow Aidens like missions but in different cities, like your idea, say it takes place in New York in 2018 or like Miami in 2015, cause like in the main story, by 2029 Aiden pretty kills ‘The Vigilante’ so it’s be cool to see what Aiden got up to in the 16 years from watch dogs 1 to legion
Conceptually I think it was neat. I find the problem with legion much more to do with how the open world was just kinda lame compared to what's been done in the past and how it failed to keep my attention.
I dont care what anyone says, I loved Aiden Pearce, the dude fought for his family. I'd love to see him, T-bone, and the WatchDogs 2 crew get together.
@@robertosantos7135 that's kinda impossible. I mean Aiden literally pushed Reggie 4ft away or easily overwhelmed him, except for 2 cheap shots Reggie managed to get on him.
Technically, Wrench wouldn’t be able to get a hit on Aiden, and he knew that, that’s why he used gadgets and was only able to land hits when he was caught off guard As soon as Aiden recovered, he overwhelmed him in 2 hits, then Wrench basically started calling Aiden “uncle” Ik Uncle is a term for surrendering but Aiden was visibly caught off guard when he said it and thats how Wrench was able to land the headbutt, hell, even Reggie’s own head was equally hurt by the blow Then in their 2nd encounter, Aiden easily pushes him 4 feet away, knocking his head against the wall, Wrench even goes “Ow…” when Aiden goes to get the BrocaBridge Technically Aiden still won the “fist fights” and he’s pushing 60 It’s also funny how Wrench had some sort of grudge on Aiden after their first encounter since he drew some shit over Aiden’s sticker that was pinned on the wall
2:16 Nice little callback there. Turns out Marcus wasn’t kidding and Wrench’s real name was actually Reginald. Either that or Marcus got insanely lucky.
@@NonsensicalSpudz wow you're telling me that listening to your players opinion of a game you make is a bad idea since people don't know what the fuck they want? Who would've guessed that.
@@keybladewielder9425 I'm saying everytime a Game Studio listen to what the player have to say and do the game that the player ask for, the players always complain about it, everyone complained about WD 1 because of how Serious the Story was (didn't cared tbh) then they made WD2 people praised the game for the story and improvements to game and then a couple of years later people started to complain about WD2 and praise WD1
@@IsaiahJamesMorgan true Marcus is better in hacking and parkour but looses in strenght but he was most overskilled and fast and most hability than Aidan
If this was the base story for Legion, I would've enjoyed playing the game a lot more. Coming from someone who played Watch Dogs 1 & 2, because I honestly felt like Legion (solely) played like Ubisoft's recent Assassin's Creed titles.
Same. This is honestly the only storyline for Legion that felt like it actually had a soul. What Ubisoft is missing is named protagonists with a set backstory. I'm sick of all these build a character games. It's why Rockstar, as flawed as they are, is so popular.
I personally never played Rockstar's games, but I have seen people play the games so I see where you're coming from. There wasn't any "buy this to get this character with such and such addon", when I personally saw that in Legion, I felt a piece of me die a little on the inside.
@@michaellorah9051 We can kinda blame Twitter and the whole stupid *cancel culture*. Nowadays if a company chooses a protagonist or hell, even a side character's race, sex and story everyone is going to get butthurt and call them racist or sexist, because it appeals to the certain sex or race. It's really stupid and I hate that media outside of videogames affect them videogames. Most of the times these people haven't even played videogames. Basically companies are just scared to lose money or get cancelled, because everyone is a snowflake. It's sad really
@@courier6402 ya what Raymond said is my point, but he does toss it forward a bit before it detonate so its not directly in his hand, but at same time flash bangs do more than just produce a flash they also produce quite a large concussive force so a mask would do little to protect wrench
I am going to admit, the first game was so much better. There were even little details, you could rescue people from their cars and there was a reputation, and it did something.
Hopefully the communities reaction to this pairing being much more positive than the entire Legion game will make Ubisoft want to make another game with these two
When I heard this was coming out and you’d be able to play them in the main game I stopped completely and waited for this. It’s almost as if having a main character makes the story more interesting 🧐
This is literally what I did with the game. Saw the character announcements for Aiden and Wrench. Pre-ordered it thinking they were added day one. I didn’t realize that they weren’t gonna release until Summer 2021. And so I uninstalled the game, and waited for the DLC to finally arrive. Definitely worth the wait
The Legion campaign was so much better playing as Aiden and treating it as a sequel to the first game. It actually gave the story some depth playing as an established character, and it was dope playing him once again
Honestly it would of been good if Aiden and Wrench had a relationship similar to Jordi and Adien in the first game. Chaotic vs simple. Both would have a great dynamic if partnered
It's honestly mind-blowing how real some parts of this look. There were a few short instances where I was actually convinced I was looking at IRL footage that was randomly spliced in
I hate that WD Legion was so short, cause I really liked it. Shame theres no dlc. That sandbox mode it has where you can play as anyone is kinda cool I guess.
love that they included characters from the previous games especially aiden pearce but. The game doesn't even feel like watch dogs anymore. It's like playing cyberpunk in 3rd person
I think setting it in a futuristic dystopia actually compliments the themes of the first two games (especially 2) which revolved around corrupt corporations seizing power and taking people's rights under the guides of "protecting them". It's the future Dedsec was trying to prevent, kinda poetic in a way.
God why couldn't this game be just this? I know everyone is commenting this already but I'd take a short 4 hour story like this over any 200+ hours of nothing.
I played through the entirety of Legion and never played Bloodline... this 5 minutes of cutscene was more memorable than the entirety of Legion's main plot. They REALLY should have made Aiden the main character again and simply allowed you to optionally play people you've recruited.
No. Aiden was never part of dedsec. He did meet them at the end of the first game but they were pretty mysterious. Then in the second game you get to play as an actual Dedsec member 3 years after Aiden's original adventure. Aiden was a fixer which is basically just a street mercenary and hacking was just part of his tool kit.
The original Dedsec were much more Grey morally speaking if I remember and worked with mobs and fixers. They didn't really care about sides unless one of them get hurt or killed
@@notoriginal8450 they always had the idea of taking down corrupt corporations. But you are right. If Aiden ran through a crowd of people with a bus they wouldn't care as long as their goal was accomplished.
"I don't know exactly what I want. I'm just tired of criminals and conmen running the world." [...] "No, you shouldn't [give up]. Some fights are worth losing." Wow... Some ACTUALLY profound sentences in a AAA game. THAT's a rare sight if I've ever seen one.
Characters is what making a series so lovable. The things with ubisoft always changing the characters in every series is why their games are not that lovable.
