The first two lines "Ek hi sang Ho Te, Jo hum to, Kahe Bichhura re" is very meaningful which means that if I was the only one beloved to you, then why did you leave me (stupid) which is silent at the end, but the immense pain caused is amplified by the pitch in the voice. The lyrics are "bithura" instead of "bichhura" in the following antraas, but I guess the meaning is the same as being very painful isolation from the only one which is loved so dearly and the pain is unbearable. Hindi literature sometimes gives marvellous and meaningful emotions with such simple words, thanks to the lyricist, to whom I bow down with gratitude.

This is a song played at the end of the movie DRISHTI (similar to item songs nowadays when credits are displayed) Dimple Kapadia, Shekhar Kapoor and Irfan Khan, I loved it as soon as I heard it, then listened to it over and over, such a great voice, very enchanting
What a soothing voice! Dimple is superb in expressing herself ... particularly her eyes. Shekhar Kapoor is also fit in the scene. Most beautiful combination of beach, sound of ocean waves,artists, meaningful and painful lyrics, actors and soothing voice of Kishori ji. What else you want?

Kishori tai was never into film music, you moron. She was involved in just one independant, art house film, Drishti. Why would you drag Asha and Lata into this?
