We still have a Canning Road in Rawalpindi (Saddar) that starts from the Mall (corner of the Flashman's Hotel) and ends at Adamjee Road, traversing Haider (Lawrence) Road and Bank (Edwardes) Road.

That's intriguing. In Kashmir too, we have Lallarookh(Lalded) as a female poet from the 14th century who wrote her poems in Kashmiri. I wonder if this story stems from her life.....

Sadly, completely6 taken over by the military. There is a beautiful and very impressive baoli (stepped well) called Losar, dating to Jahangir's time, which was in a ruinous state in 2019. Dr Azeem, my archaeologist friend and I were afraid MES will "renovate" the historical monument and completely destroy it with modern cement plaster. I have no idea what its condition is now.
