Hahaha 😂😂😂💦🧜♂️ big foot ..ok the next ..Alien .don't think so lol ....don't used the Dog to know how a ghost is here ..your Spirit Know more to !!! Contact .🙏💖✌the elemental spirit of nature is pur .
It warms my heart that this puppy is bringing so much happiness! She is bonding with you well, Vanessa. She seems very smart and ALERT! I'm looking forward to the videos of your many adventures together. ❤🚜🇩🇪🇺🇸
Training a dog, similarly to humans learning situations, require concentration. Another dog would likely be a distraction. But, sometimes, an older dog that is well trained can model the behavior for the trainee.
Aika is a beautiful dog! My parents had a Belgian Shepherd before I was born in 1964. I grew up with Lady and she passed away when I was 14. Your video brought back soooooo many memories. Thank you! 🤘😎
Shepards are my favorite dog. They are smart, loyal, and very protective. I'm glad you got her. I've seen your encounters on other video's and now you will be safe.
I have always thought you needed a protector when you were alone in the forest . I remember you having a few encounters on some outings. I am also noting that you are looking very slim and fit. I think you have your life in order.. Congrats, Thank you for sharing your life with us.. LG Can
When you say boss, dogs point of view is called the pack leader or "Alpha". Like a wolf pack. Running thu the forest with bare feet, awesome. Thank you for being such a great teacher. God bless.
Watching you and your dog I think you will have a long and happy relationship. Your time schedule for training seems excellent and you are very careful that the dog knows what is expected of her and when. You certainly enjoy the time together.👍😄🎩
Your growing BOND is key. Beautiful work... Her testing strengthens that bond as you respond to what she is asking. Shepherds are very telepathic, too.
With any dog, they NEED to know you are Alpha. I love that you have gotten one of the best breeds ever for training and being able to keep you company on your adventures (and keep you safe) I hope to see a wonderful team forming before our eyes. I look forward to seeing her grow and be trained. I do not know the laws there for keeping her on a leash in the forest. I hope she can be off the lead. Teaching her to ALWAYS be near you when walking in the woods will save you so much worry about her chasing animals. It took us a while to teach our Catahula never to chase any animals, but once we did it is such a please to walk with him in the forest areas where we live. He is very good at distinguishing the sound of animals from humans in the forest. He goes into protection mode when he hears people coming near, but stays by us and is waiting for a command as to how to react. It is wonderful to have a companion and protector with us in the forest. Hope she grows to be that for you.
Vanessa, Your Shepard puppy is so cute! I am happy you have gotten a guard dog for your alone time in the forest. We all worry for you when you are alone over night. Please take care of yourself. You are a lovely lady and such a nice person. God bless you...
So lovely to observe Aika’s training and encouragement Vanessa! So beautiful in the summer with the green and the sunlight. Great that you’ve brought her into your life. A harness is the piece that goes around the body ( I think you were inquiring for the correct word). Collar is around the neck, leash is the lead ( yellow that you carefully described). You understand Aika so well. Blessings and Grace .
vanessa, your love for aika will build her trust and protection desires for you. you are doing fantastic doing this. she is an amazing dog and want to she more of her improvement . you will be amazed yourself !!!!!
Wild Woman Vanessa👌👌 Beautiful puppy, enjoy her youth as she will grow quickly. I had a true German Shepard dog, female as well and she was a fantastic friend. You will come to rely on her for many things, but love most importantly. It will be fun teaching and training her, patience and determination will pay off in the long term. Have a wonderful time with Aika, many years of loyal friendship ahead. Enjoy!
Awesome!!! It keeps the ticks off them too, running them!!! You keep doing your channel, ok? Never go out, without smiling or having a go?!!! (I saw your FB post.) Keep going....you are a beautiful person, keep inspiring the young ones. Servus, much respect...from the UK. x
Like your training technique and common sense approach. Many severely underestimate the importance of good training for a large dog. Great job with setting behavior limits for Aika. Thanks for the great video.
You were talking about different collars. I saw a You Tube video of another bush crafter that had a full grown shepherd and he had a pack for his. The dog ended up carrying some of his dog food when they when in the forests. Pretty neat invention. Beautiful dog you have and should have many years of faithful companionship.
we call those birds raven in Ontario that steal. Aika is a beautiful dog she will be a great companion and protector . I wish i had your patients . My pup loves to jump on people , something I must stop. nice to see Aika and yourself out in the woods , look forward to seeing her progress , she is getting big
I enjoyed watching your time with Aika. Long ago the police was training their German Shepard in the park. They asked me if I wanted to participate… yes of course I’ll will. They had me wear the jacket with the thick padding… and the command was given „Faß!” the dog was trained in Austria 🇦🇹 commands were in German only. The dog grabbed my arm… I wasn’t afraid, it didn’t hurt. I had thick padding, I definitely felt him biting the suit. Then the command „Aus!” Amazing! Aika will be your best friend, always loyal to you. The puppy Aika… some of your stuff will have bite marks and some things will be ripped up. Have Fun!!!
It’s great knowing you are having a German Shepard to grow to learn to Protect you.it’s going to be a wonderful Time you are both going to share on Your adventures.I feel better that when She gets older with you she’s going to Get closer with you. Takecare Vanessa
Time spent always pays off. Dogs are usually limited to our teachings. The best dogs I ever had went everywhere with me. The training never stopped. Thanks for sharing
A wonderful insightful video, I very much like how you separate her roles as a member of your household and working protection dog. I'm sure with your guidance as she grows she will make a wonderful family member and a faithful trustworthy bodyguard
I watched you when you were cutting up an apple tree and saw some nice wood for making wood turnings. I have wood from all places in the world. I still turn small pieces almost every day and enjoy giving pieces away. I also saw the nice burl you found, which makes an excellent project. I wanted to wish you a belated birthday, as my birthday is also in April. Keep up the good work as I really enjoy watching you,
Glad Aika is teaching you Vanessa. She knows she will have a great human companion after all your training is finished. I love that she has taught you how to run in forest. I am sure Aika will have you doing alot of running in the next few month's. Great that you have slowly introduced her to the small things on what she needs to learn such as noises and people whom she can alert you of being around and also those you permit around without her being protective. Her major training will be so special since she will be learning so much. It will be as a game to her and to see her in action will be your greatest achievement. I bet Aika already has taught you how to say no so many times, lol. Love this video with you and Aika in the forest. She simply adores you and wants to please you in all she does. Let us know when she tries to teach you Vanessa how to chase jack rabbits lol.
Great video. Aika is a beautiful dog and you can tell she will be a wonderful protection dog. Very smart to be training her alone with no other distractions. 🐕🦺
Very happy for you, that's exactly what you needed. I'm 75 years old now but I trained German Shepherds for use in Viet Nam and you can't find a smarter more loyal companion! BEST of Luck to you BOTH!!
Vanessa. Hello, and how are you? I would like to first say that I love your content and that you are a wonderful creator. I recently watched your video in response to ‘haters’ leaving you negative comments. Honey, I will tell you this… those people are without something significant in their lives; so much so, that they cannot find satisfaction with their earlier decisions. This is not a sentiment that should grace your brow. I would say, please keep making your content. It is natural, honest, and for people like me it is a means to escape the madness. I enjoy watching your content and hearing your pleasant commentary over the beautiful Bavarian countryside. :). Awesome stress relief.
I love your beautiful Aika!😍😍 It’s clear that she loves you, too! What a treat it is to see you two at this early stage. She’s going to be a perfect companion 😃😃👍
Anika looks like a good dog and a great protector and companion. You have the right attitude relative training Aika. Best Wishes and Good Luck. Charlie
I always knew you were great with animals, but it warmed my heart to see such a beautiful dog given the best of love and training. All of your pets are lucky to have such an awesome owner. And your farm animals.:) I heard you say the commands 'come' and 'sit'', also, b4 when she tried to eat fern leaves, you said 'nein!'. :D She's very smart, maybe she'll be the first bi-lingual dog. 😂 We'll see you✋🙂. AB, Canada.🌸
Our German Shepherd got Panosteitis when he was growing up. That is growing pains and he would limp one leg for a week and then a different leg another week. It took almost a year before this stopped. Ours slept at the foot of our bed on the floor. If he heard something in the night, he would slink off and investigate the sound. If it was OK, he would return and go back to sleep. If not, he would let us know. John P.S. The ears are floppy when they are young but soon both will point straight up and they will turn like a radar to hear everything. One more thing: I used to use 3 different brushes to get the excess hair off and when done, there would be a huge pile of hair in our yard. The birds loved the hair and would take it and build nests with it.
Aika is coming along well! In English, that bird is called a Magpie. So she's a little hoarder 😂 She is intelligent and will learn fast. Eventually, you can get backpacks for them and she will know when she is heading to the forest, because she will have her backpack on with all her food and treats in it. So much for her to learn, but for now, how to be a good baby and to have fun. Shepherd's are jnkwn for their intelligence. This is going to be a good chapter in your videos....looking forward to the next one
It's so great that she doing good. Love German shepherds, have had two of them and never had any problems . Did very well at watching and protecting . Vanessa can't wait to see how it goes. Keep up the great videos and have a lovely week.
Good video, and it looks like it stopped raining for a bit. Aika will naturally bond to you and protect you and the boys. She's young and playful, but as she matures she will develop that "protector" sense. If you are relaxed, she will be also. But, if she senses that you are tense or fearful, you will see a different Aika kick in. Give her lots of love, and check for ticks after she has been out and about. Stay safe! This crazy Covid is going into the next phase and it's not nice. Love from Pa
Hi Vanessa, It's so lovely to see you and Aika sharing these special moments together. I'm sure she is already aware that you are her master, and is loving the attention you're giving her. You seem to be well on top of her training routine, and I see a wonderful future as a great team together. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments.🌹💗🌹
It is very beautiful and the German Shepherds are very obedient and soon learn the commands of the trainer. You are very good you have a lot of patience, you will surely teach him many beautiful and useful things. Hello, good day👍👋
Hi Vanessa, Aika is beautiful and seems to be at ease in the forest. I'm sure she is intelligent and will learn very fast, good luck with the training.
Great post. I think she will turn out just fine. I like your training method . Very smart. I look forward to see her progress, and hope to see more of her. God Bless!
What a wonderful video Vanessa! I love the opening--my favorite forest nymph running barefoot through the woodland with Aika!! 👍👍💖💖💋💋 Vanessa, you will be the perfect "Mistress" and companion for Aika. Aika is very intelligent(you paid for this trait) and so Aika "knows" that while you DO love her, you also expect her to learn her place in the family hierarchy. As a subscriber it will be great fun watching Aika grow with you and your family. Thank you for sharing your life with us Vanessa. God bless and good health to you and family...now including Aika ✌👍😊💖 Pete
Tone of voice really helps in the woods. When my GS and I are in severe bear land, she has a protective vest. This triggers her that we are in a serious area.
your videos are good then you added the drone it took them to a new level now you added this cute dog your videos are going to be even better cant wait to see your future videos take care
Vanessa, at last a little time to yourself. You seem a lot more relaxed compared with your dilemma at the vegetable garden. Aike is enjoying herself, and I can see you have thought her training through. But as you said, for the moment Aike is just a puppy and she needs to play and then slowly introduce her to work. In a year's time she will be a good friend to help protect you and alert you to changes in the forest environment. I noted what you said Vanessa. You will train Aike to regard a 30 m sector around your campsite as a protection zone. So if ever we visit you, we need to give you early warning to prevent a huge dog from knocking us down to the ground. You are really marvellous you handle looking after the children, the farm, exploring in the forest, training Aike, and shooting videos. What a busy life. Very best wishes.
Having owned 5 GSDs, I have found that If you give them good obedience training and lots of love most of the rest will come naturally. If you want to go further I think you will find that scheutzhund (hope I spelled it right) training can be very rewarding. These are among the smartest and most trainable dogs in the world. The biggest thing is to be smarter than they are.
Sweet! What a novel idea a German shepard that speaks German. I had several of them and one that was very well trained. They can be very alert and smart on their own. Your's looks real good.
