In some weird way I feel for Derek. He was blessed to make music with the very masters who are now unfortunately slipping away before his very eyes, one at a time. The circle is being broken because life is what it is. He is one of the masters now. I think the future of blues based music couldn't be in safer, or more positively capable hands.
Nah the circle is alive and well with the likes of Derek Trucks. He learned from the Greats and is now a Master. He made it his own just like he was destined to. Surely the Greats are smiling down on him and waiting. For now we get him and I'm damn sure glad we do!
Nowadays, the best show all around the world. What a handful of top notch musicians. My favourite band. Derek is really great. And that lady makes me feel goosebumps, she's an enormous musician and she's really gorgeous. Greetings from Argentina.
Just amazing. When Derek plays the first note of that solo its like he whittled down his entire relationship to Gregg into one note. What an amazing and soulful musician
Nobody sings w/more conviction like Susan. Every word to every lyric is sung w/passion and devotion to the song. This is why follow the music....thanks Sean !!
I cannot say enough good things about Susan and Derek! Thank God for them...they keeping music ALIVE, In this world of non inspiring Chatty Cathy talking songs.(to me, in my opinion). Love yA Derek and Susan. Thanks for keeping the melody alive as well! A song just isn't right without it And it ain't nobody good until the TTB plays it tight! 😚
A very respectable tribute to duane and gregg almond ,they are looking down with smiles and praising you for your talent and continuing this style of music we all love ,once again you guys are so so inspirational ,im grabbing my guitar now lol,if i can pick 1 over the other, either way dosnt matter you made my day
The most I ever paid for a concert ticket was to see this band and it was worth every single dollar!(Third row, center stage, Pure fucking bliss!) I intend to do it again and again. Yes Joe Riccio, I agree, best band bar none!!! I'd like to thank my Dad for turning me on to Duane Allman back in 1973. I fell in love with the blues and here I am today digging this greatness!!!
I really want the whole BAND to BOW at the end of every CONCERT!! 🎙♩🎼🎵🎷🎻🎺🎹PLEASE come back to Philadelphia or Camden New Jersey SOON! I've seen them 3 times & I can't wait until the next time!! #RedheadTTBhead #IloveJJ
This old cat says she sings it real good . I love her to death. But Greg had the inflection, tone and phrasing perfected for this song. And Duane still had it with the slide ,subtle yet powerful. Mauw!
Dickie Betts played slide on the original. Duane had died by the time they recorded it; this song was Gregg's response to his brother's death. Dickie hadn't played much slide before and he practiced real hard to get it just right.
Dicky played slide on this in the original. He did a good job I thought. You'll note that Clapton didn't play much (if any?) slide before meeting Dwayne.
Derek's the son-of to me and those of us older . . . and Susan's the dream we dreamed of with her predecessors, too. We live with what we live with, and some of us lived with these guys' precedents and we're damn glad we did, just like we're damn glad we're here, too.
Nice job on the recording Sean !! Love this !! RIP Greg !! WTG TTB !! Hopefully I'll get a chance to see them play down the road !! Amazing talent..all of them !! From TC, Mi.
12 mindless morons hit the wrong button. They haven't the eyes or ears to appreciate true art. Leave them to their plasticene snakes & rosary beads. The sound ain't great but beauty is wasted on these jokers. Best ignore them they know not what they're missing...
Love these guys; first band to get me excited in decades, and I've seen them live twice. But I have to say that nobody, but nobody can sing this like Gregg.
Takin it to the altar. Susan got her start in a Gospel group and she said in an interview that if she could sing just one genre it would be Gospel. Lots of spirituality in their music.
It's contuation of that Allman sound it's hard to describe how good it sounds live you have to be there can't wait till the pandemic is over I'm going to be at their first concert
Tedeschi Trucks Band do the Allman Bros. but do they ever do it well. Derick Truck actually played with the Allman Bros. when he was 8 yrs. old. He has become a phenomenon. 🐒...... 💙🤔😊 Susan Tedeschi, his wife, stands on her own.
You sound like you know a lot about being drunk. Now scrape your slag ass out of the gutter and try not to drink yourself in to a drunken stupor every night.
