on the contrary, I put it back together and it is just sitting around as a backup (it does really well with the pleated fine mesh filter for dead algae and silt)... Apparently the replacement parts of the broken robot in this video, at least in my experience, aren't as good as what the robot comes with out of the factory. For instance, the original blue electric cable started to disintegrate after 3-4 years of use, I thought, fine I'll buy an OEM replacement. Replacement went fine and dandy and everything working as it should... Right about the year mark, I notice pulling the robot out that the replacement cable is yet again disintegrating. This is on top of the tracks that kept falling off even after replacement. So, it is a great robot vacuum when everything is working but I just opted for something new and different. In any case, everything newer will have very little after market support at first...cost of new technology/bleeding edge. Oh, if not this Aiper, I was considering the Wybot M1 Ultra...but figured the floating solar panel would get in the way of my robot skimmer...
