That is an excellent video, very clear and concise well filmed, and presented. Mine's just gone and was feeling quite sick at the thought of being amputated from my S510. I look forward to sorting mine. Thanks
Just fixed it. The grub screw had fallen out with the rest of it. I used a fishing magnet to find the ball bearing, spring and grub screw at my shooting range at home. I couldn't believe I actually found them! Anyway, I cleaned them up and reassembled the safety. Good shout about using the blue loctite as the screw is rather slack. I've ordered spares from TW Chambers just in case. Thanks again.
Hello my friend, Yes, thank you. Thank you for giving up your time to show us this fix. It will give many like me the courage to go forward and have a go. Thank you. Ps. Beautiful stock, by the way, and thank you also for the heads up regarding the add-on biathlon lever, I really like mine.
I have a .177 S510 R and although only 4 months old and still under a long guarantee this is really useful to know (thank you) should I get the same problem. Seeing this it looks easier to do yourself than the hassle of sending it back. To date, It has been a great rifle.
Glad to know this may help you in the future. Mine has been faultless also but this is just general wear and tear, so if your safety becomes easy to slide in and out it will most likely that ball bearing has become too small or highly likely escaped.
Alternatively fit a Rowan engineering trigger, alot better than the standard air arms unit, but you do lose the safety, but the best safety is inbetween your ears, 😁👍
My S510 was a special offer so it came fitted, but you can purchase them separate. The stock model here is “GRS Sporter Adjustable Stock”. www.mcavoyguns.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d561_GRS_Custom_rifle_stocks.html The side lever is a 3D printed item from eBay, about £15, but I think the person who made mine no longer makes them, but there are similar ones you can buy online. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284075209287?hash=item422433b247:g:Bq8AAOSwrhBZAeYg
It is a Rat Works filler gauge which replaces the original. The gauge at the end of the cylinder tells you the cylinder pressure and there is another gauge underneath which tells you the regulator pressure.
@@lancsvermincontrol ah ok nice. Iv only had mine a few month. Went for the new regged s510 ultimate sporter. Good setup to be fair. Your local gun shop Malmo? I’m about a hour away but go there quite a bit. Great place.
@@richardflynn2633 I use Mcavoys, Malmo and Liquid Steel Designs, but I will be at Malmo tomorrow actually as I need a cheap lock knife for my backpack.
