Hi thanks for the videos. Always enjoy pellet testing - watching or doing. I have just bought a 2nd hand S510 TR. it’s a great rifle but it’s a bit low on power at 10.46 flbs with 8.44 grn. And the groups generally have a bit of horizontal spread with most pellets. I just wonder if the groups might be a little smaller and rounder if I push the power up a little (20-30 Fps) to around 770 rather than 740odd. Similar to tuning a centre fire powder burner. What’s your thoughts? Do you think it will have been set up like this in the factory or do you think it will have lost some power at some point. Have you shot your US r over the chronograph?
They're all different power levels from factory but shouldnt loose power. They either work or they dont, if blown seals. Mine is 11.74ft lbs with jsb heavy 10.34 - 715fps.
@@AirRifleUK37 thanks very much for your info. Mine is doing 690 with 10.34 JSB. Might try a breach seal first but don’t think it will be that. Probably have to tackle the ant- service screws at some point.
@@AirRifleUK37 the barrels on my Air Arms S510 fac regulated rifles are 19.76" , the barrels on my Kral megas are 23". The barrels on my Dar gen3 are 16.5" regulated. Yes I'm in the U.S.A. I understand your 12fpe strained. I shoot mine on low power too for higher shot count. They all have power adjustment. I recently turned down the power levels on all my pesting rifles. I understand you don't need a bunch of power anyways. I like what you guys do over there and I know I'm successful doing what you all do. People here think I'm crazy lol I say, just look at the UK guys how accurate and successful they are lol I've been into air power over 40 yrs. I've learned what works and don't. I'm not one to be wasteful. Is my motto🙂🤔
@@eddiecahall3824 very good point, it only takes 4ft lbs at target to kill a rabbit. These sub 12 rifles will take rabbits at 80yrds with headshots, but tend to keep it under 60yrds to ensure clean kill or use a powder burner instead.
