Hi Paul, Thank you for this video. Reading the comments about you not holding the underlever whilst cocking. This air rifle has a fantastic bear trap system. Though that recognised, regardless of how good it is, I still politely think it would be a good idea to have kept hold of the underlever when loading the pellet, to set a good example to our youngsters. The camera angle you had while shooting your TX was fantastic and showed off this rock solid, amazing looking spring air rifle. The blacking, stock colour, and carving were just sensational. With great respect, after this years Shooting Show, because of your air rifling passion, I knew you were angry with BSA, for their R12 take down rifle, and you weren't happy with Air Arms for their, as some said, minimal changes for their newly released Ultimate Springer and pricing it around a thousand pounds. I know, a thousand pounds is a lot of money. But hey, what a fantastic air rifle. We have to pay what it costs to manufacture a product. Raw materials and production prices and labour have all soared recently. You looked like you enjoyed handling the air rifle and shooting it. Do you still think it's expensive and overpriced? What is your opinion now? This isn't a disrespectful comment, as many people were angry. I enjoy your video's and value your opinion. I was just curious as to what your opinion was now? I'd guess you wouldn't want to part now with your TX? I most certainly definitely wouldn't! Thank you and best wishes, Ian.
I stand by thinking it's over priced ,this was an ex display rifle with a tiny mark on the stock so couldn't be sold strictly as new ,never shot but handled in the shop so I got it at what I think was a reasonable price . Having said that it's easily as accurate as any pcp bar really top end single shot match rifles and needs no charger or other stuff ,just cock and shoot . I really should have held the cocking lever but I got carried away .....again lol .
J’ai la même en version Laminate / non HC. Cette TX200 Ultimate Springer est un pur bonheur avec une précision redoutable. Je suis très content de mon choix. Cette carabine est un véritable bijou. 😍😍😍
@@johnfiore9390 say that to someone who’s lost a finger, anything can go wrong, bear trap yes but always good practice to still keep a firm hold of the cocking lever.
There’s the trigger assembly holding the piston back plus the secondary bear trap so it’s safe as heck to load the gun without holding the cocking lever 😊
I was always taught to hold onto the cocking lever when loading. I know it has a bear trap, but they do fail sometimes. That breach would take your finger, no problem. 😵💫
Lovely looking rifle. And as for the comments about holding the lever, I hear you. Buuuut...that rifle has a beartrap. And I bet you can't name anyone who lost a finger to an underlever.
The original 66 is a target rifle designed for 10 mtr shooting and is relatively low powered anyway so the drop off at 20mtrs would be more than a airarms tuning at say 11+ ftp
that giss system is the only springer that does not move anything outside , it was only up to 8 joule because there is no room for big springs , but maybe a gas ram could be used if diana would like that to use that these days ,to get a 12fpe output , its the same chamberroom as a d35. i got a 65 the same as the 66 except the stock and a 75 , fineairguns
Totally agree with you about this newish fad of rubber coating these adjustable cheek pieces. I took out an old (10 years) phone that has the same type of coating and it was so sticky as though it had de natured. I think all of these will go the same way with time. It's obviously cheaper to manufacture which is why they are doing it, no other reason why. I don't even think it looks nice 🤔
It's not just cheaper to produce. A wood cheek piece would need to match grain patterns or it would look awful. This requires a bigger blank to create the stock from. It adds to the complexity of the manufacturing process and increases the possibility of problems occurring during same.
@@fieldsportcymru4636 it's basically a theoben Evo / Scirocco in a fancy stock that CS stocks produced for them. Think impact airguns only produced them for a year out of the theoben factory in Cambridge.
Only came to the comments to see people moan about not holding the underlever while loading 😴😴 if you do that you'll need to be an octopus to load a TX,... 😂🤣
@@fieldsportcymru4636 happens to the best of us🤣 nice rig though I have Mk2 TX 200 by far and away the most accurate springer ever! .177 with JSB lights 69 yards 1” spinners all day long….epic gun.
