I had a learning experience with this silencer. I bought a GAMO GX40 for a friend and the SAK was already fitted. Without the silencer the groups were fine and with the silencer it was hopeless. I fitted a Huggett Atom and the groups were fine, so stuck with that. I tried the SAK on my Brockock Compatto and the groups were brilliant. It looks like the SAK worked with a shrouded barrel were the crown was about 1" before the silencer, but didn't work where the barrel crown was at the start or the silencer. I still use the SAK on the Compatto and it is brilliant for hunting.
Missing out,99 & 57 are amazing. As an older man, don’t want to mall the extra weight around. I have the 99 , 57, 95, 98, 77,97. At 12 ft pound, my 57 in .177 is easy on the body and as accurate as the others. Try one👍🏻 10:10
Hi Paul I had mk3 with no scope rail what model would it have been reg gizzi Bogarde it up soldering scope mount on it would love to replace it want to start collecting webelys john who had service rifle
@johnevans382 without seeing it it was def pre 1970 or late 60s because that's when the rails were added. I have several very nice Webleys for sale if your intrested
Great video and rifle! The chap who loaned you this is subscribed to me on RU-vid! I had a rapid 7 back in the day and wish I never sold it! One of my biggest regrets. Love your channel mate .
Nice collection mate....just really started.....got a 1932 bsa light pattern......and today just got hold of a webley service mark 2.....absolute favourite,needs a bit of work,but nothing I cant handle😊
I bought a vixen short in may and I love it 👍 it's so so accurate . Only thing am not sure about is voiding the warranty if I go with an external moderator !?🤔
I just came across your channel whilst trying to show my boys my rifle ( mum detests them liking guns, it’s a man thing ), I had mine in the early 90’s, a present along with a Tempest. I’ll have to dig mine out, I never knew there was any type of interest in them. Thanks for the effort in producing this video 👏👏👏
There is a company in Canada, not allowed to name them, that exports 'Black Powder' flintlock/cap and ball 17th/18th/19th century weapons. Their big market is America but they also export to Britain, France, Germany, Poland etc.. They have accurate affordable historically well made reproductions in various calibers. They do export to the UK, they are classified as 'antiques' and may be worth looking into as an alternative to air guns!
That has real nice grain, some are very plain, definitely think these later 35s are much better than the older models, Just bought one of Guntrader l should receive it in 2 days, only paid £195 and he's paid the Parcel force 48 fee, l do prefer these K models with the shorter barrel,
@@fieldsportcymru4636 someone l know bought one last year with a walnut stock and it'd been reblued at some place in Birmingham that does shotguns real nice job it was, he paid £600 for it.
I had a mercury s when I was 15, I had it fully refurbished by Hallrite of Chesterfield, they rebuilt the internals, restored the stock and did a beautiful blueing job. I was surprised how well it shot and the power output was impressive for a junior sized rifle. I'd say the overall build quality was better than the bsa lightning grt I recently got rid of. Since the restoration I had it two weeks and let a friend of mine shoot it and he accidentally pulled the trigger with it cocked and it bent the barrel and split the stock so I had to let it go.
Thank you for the review. Am looking at getting an Accu Tac WB like yours to shoot comp with. Could you measure the width between the legs at 90⁰ in the non-extended position for me as there is a max width rule of 14" or 360mm in the discipline I intended shooting. Would really appreciate it if you can.
I was wondering if you have a Brocock Independent, i bought a lux model from JS Ramsbottom just before the mail order ban came into effect. It sat in it's box for years unused until I zeroed a scope on it for a friend at work just before I moved to California. It felt like a nice springer.
I have a 2002 HW90 in .177 its in absolute mint condition, its had new ram seals, new upgraded high pressure valve and a imported upgraded Aussie green piston seal I'm thinking of selling it to fund a TX200HC as I also have another HW90, I'm in North Wales.
Great Video Paul , I don't think your Airsporter is cocking correctly in my opinion , it just doesn't sound right , l have had plenty of Airsporters and none have had that sound that yours has at the end of the stroke .
I've just restored my 1st gen. 1997 Axsor, fitted regulator & front manometer, re-crowned the barrel, new magazine with brass interference fit centre. Absolutely nails it with H&N FTT, AA FTT 5.52's & H&N Sniper Lights. Not just 1 hole at 30m, all under 8mm!!
Just bought the IR version and too be honest really can't tell the difference compared to the more expensive vantage versions except it's 2 piece compared to single piece. For hobby use these really are decent bits of kit.
I've noticed scope offset due to rifles having different widths of dovetail rail, typical example being BSA rifles which should ideally be used with BSA specific 13mm mounts but often aren't. Budget mounts and budget rifles can be a bit variable but a small amount of offset from centre isn't generally going to matter, a problem for me was the screws on a cheap mount were stressed unevenly from fitting the mount to a wider dovetail and a screw broke off when I tightened it.
See that in a lot of cheap mounts . Guess that what you pay to avoid in quality mounts ,makes me laugh sometimes when you see a grand and a half airrifle with a cheap 10 set of mounts holding a scope
@@fieldsportcymru4636 I put Sports Match mounts with my higher quality air rifles and had no problems whatsoever but I also enjoy shooting some entry level stuff and bought a budget friendly £60 Nikko Stirling Mountmaster 6x40 AO scope & mounts. The scope itself is okay, the mounts which came with it were the ones in question, they're a bit rubbish but still usable, I replaced the broken screw.
Level is important, but for sub 12 airguns wind is WAAAY more important. Invest more in knowing the wind more than anything like level. If you want to make mid to long range first shot impacts every time (best for hunting)
Very nice collectable that will keep it's value buddy 👌 I usually don't like bling bling and tralala, but this is looking very good and deserves a place on it's own in a display cabin. Fun to shoot too 😁👍
Exactly if your scope isn’t bang on level to rifle and you use hold over your shot will be off regardless of that thing being mounted to rail. At sub 12 ranges pointless imo
@@fieldsportcymru4636 ah yes - just looked on the MDT site and there it is (missed it the first time and only spotted the scope mount). To be fair, that’s another £40 or so making this quite a niche bit of kit for the ordinary shooter’s pocket.
Hello, I have hawke similar to this one. I have a problem with it as I couldn’t zero it. Tried to adjust the clicks but seems like pellets are going to the same place.
Apx10 yrs ago I bought a new 99s and 95kux and then a 98,in that order. Sold the 99squick for the 95. I had taken all rifles apart to deburr and re lube. Recently bought a 95k and took that apart also. I can honestly say the quality is nowhere near as good. The piston quality is awful, pitted and marked like pot metal
