I went through the Sabalauski Air Assault School in 1997 while I was stationed at Ft Campbell, Ky, I was in the 561st Battalion 102nd QM Co. I'll never forget going through the Air Assault School. I was 20 at that time. The most challenging to me was Phase 2 rigging sling loading . Lots of my buddy's didn't make it pass phase 2. I felt bad one person went through the entire course and did the 12 mile road March in time unfortunately he lost his dog tags during the road March and failed the final inspection so he had to start all over to zero day no recycle. I did graduate. It's one of the best things I accomplished in my lifetime. Air Assault Air Assault

@@alexanderstaubs5570remember you got 6 months to reinsert so get on top of that, the day after I got back from getting dropped at Campbell I went straight to the school officer who does our paperwork & asked to be put back in, stay on top of it & dont give up!

In my state, our infantry brigade hosts an EIB/ESB once every 3 years. I got it long before being a cadet

how fast would you say the 12 miler was? did you have to jog the whole thing or was it more like a range walk?

I usually run off the line until everyone is spaced out enough that I can walk without getting ran over, then I do 30/60's(30 running-60 walking). That gets reset if there is a hill in which case you should range walk up and jog down.

For the obstacle courses did you have to do the Six Vaults cause someone told me that they recently removed it?

At Campbell, everyone did it. At Benning, everyone told me they did every obstacle to include the six. I haven't heard anything about them removing it.

Were there true or false questions on the phase 1 test or even phase 2 test? There are so many true or false on the quizlets they provide.

The quizlet definitely has more true or false than are on the actual test by far, I maybe saw less than 5.

@joeylabuda5462 best thing that helped me was quizzing eachother every chance we got. Night before it was a late-ish night studying, but make sure you still have energy for the next day.

I read on the army’s website is changes by age, for me it’s 22 minutes

@@bobbybooshae8720 18 minutes is the air assault standard, time limits changing by age is just for the regular PT test. They had an instructor running at an 18min pace to be the marker, basically anyone who fell behind him was running 18min+ & got dropped.
