Just watched this video for the first time today. In 2022, they scanned boarding passes when you enter the line and before it's your turn for security so CATSA can update their website with "live security wait times". While indeed the allocation of resources especially when they were short staff wasn't great, there at least is a decent reason for scanning it twice.
Perhaps. But if they're spending that much to update times on the website then something is not right. At the end of the day, gotta get through security whether is a 5 minute or 35 minute wait. At least there's the express lines you can sign up for now.
Agreed! It's a poor setup but I they had to given the crazy security lines in late 2021, early 2022. I always sign up for YYZ express now. Has saved me about 20 minutes a couple times.@@theglobalpeasant
