Air Canada Rouge Airbus A321 departure from Charlottetown to Toronto. Amazed me to find myself getting on such a big aircraft at such a small airport. There are only two gates 1A and 1B in this airport and we had to wait a while for the Flight Attendants to finish their safety demo as the taxi to the active is so short. Great views of PEI on departure though.

What a great area! I was just in Charlottetown (drove there, didn't fly) and it was beautiful. A very nice, tidy city with outdoor cafes and restaurants in the warmer months. Not a ton to do on the island unless you are obsessed with Anne of Green Gables but there are lots of picturesque rolling fields and pastoral farmland and beaches. If you like life on the quieter side - but not too rural - this is a great place to spend a few days!

Totally agree! I only had 3 days on the island I'd have loved to have done some lighthouse tours

Imagine how excited those small-town people must be to go to a city as big as Toronto! I remember visiting PEI when I was younger. I was from the Vancouver area. I met some kid and he asked me if I knew a certain guy that lived in Vancouver. That was pretty funny. I guess living in such small rural places, people just get to know everyone. He didn't realize that it doesn't work like that in big cities.

Air Canada charges the same price for a flight from Toronto to Charlottetown as a flight to Toyko.

The airport is so tiny! The Airbus seems so out of place there. With that being said, rouge has also announced fights to Nanaimo, a similarly sized city in BC.

Ziggmanster Yeah it was amazing seeing this taxi onto stand and dwarfing the terminal. Great experience and still amazes me they can get this in and out!
