In this webinar we will explore FLOW-3D HYDRO’s air entrainment model. Air-water bubbly flows are near ubiquitous in water civil infrastructure, particularly in spillways and conveyance structures. These kinds of flows present numerous modeling challenges, both in the hydraulic laboratory setting and in its numerical CFD counterpart. The location, quantity and fate of dispersed air bubbles may have implications on the hydraulics of any given flow, affecting velocities, flow bulking, pressure, friction and so on.
