In this video, Joshua Griffin goes through a solution that could solve most airflow issues in homes as well as controlling mini splits, all with the same devices. Do you have a home that does not heat or cool in one room as well as the others? Or have a home that has zoning issues causing one part of the house to be uncomfortable? These products are made by a company called Flair. Flair's Smart Vent and Puck can control multiple devices in your home, creating better comfort, saving you money on energy, and creating a home everyone will be happy to come home to.

My basement is an icebox year round, but my top floor is a sauna. The only comfortable floor in the house is our middle floor. We noticed on the top floor the air is weaker. We also have no air return on the top floor. The temperature difference from the middle floor to the top floor is 5 to 15 degree difference on average, but the difference is higher at night. We also have a house that is facing the sun, so that also doesn’t help.

I added a Flair vent in my basement. It's great because I want some heat down there, but it doesn't need to be as warm as upstairs. Definitely recommend it

I have a question? All my bedrooms upstairs have 4 vents each, 2 top 2 bottom, does this mean I need to buy a flair vent for each?? Or do I just buy 2 for each room and close the top or bottom, depending on where I place them?? Thank you

Pretty sure you just put these on the supply vents, not the return vents. So two out of four per room. Usually supply vents are in the floor near exterior walls with metal ductwork and flow control, whereas return vents are usually up high on an interior wall with no ductwork in the wall or flow control.

I’m trying to figure out how many vents and pucks my house would require, where could I learn that? Does every vent in my home need to be replaced? And does every room with a smart vent require a puck?

Confirm with the flair website, but you should only need enough smart vents to cover the supply vents in just the rooms you want to control, not your whole house. Plus one puck per room you want to control.

So can you restrict the airflow and cause liquid flood back which kills your compressor and you have to spend thousands of dollars to get it fixed not calling a professional it's going to be well worth it
