Yeah I went on the website and used the chat feature and had them forward my info to my local recruiter about 3 months ago. I think I'm just gonna go down there in person next week. I'm kinda getting tired of waiting. Although using this time to study has been coolish. Lol

I’ve been trying my hardest to join the airforce, but they refuse to continue my processing over a nonexistent medical condition regarding asthma. I’ve been homeless for months with two full time jobs, a college degree, cyber certifications and I still can’t afford housing here in Florida. This is ridiculous. I didn’t choose to join as a last ditch option or some convenient way to lose weight, but for the sheer discipline and career opportunities that come with it. Yet there are people out here who are fully eligible to join and are squandering the opportunities.

@@dorbinop4468 its really not hard, just a bunch of different kinds of math. What I did the most was do the asvab practice tests for Arithmetic, Mathematics, Electronics and Mechanical over and over again until I got 100% every time. I really wanted Biomed Equipment so I needed high scores in E and M to qualify for it. I didnt get biomed unfort but I got PMEL which is a great job as well so Im happy.

I'm literally about to watch all your videos. I've only talked to my recruiter once on the phone, other than that its been text and email since JULY. I have so many question but she won't answer anything until I'm cleared at meps. I just retook my Asvab since joining in 2006 and getting out in 2014 so I'm hoping everything goes smoothly. I had no clue about the scores and the tuition again since I haven't had a conversation with her, but thankfully i score over 50. Again I'm happy I found your channel and I can't wait to watch your video for joining after 30.

@ik496 you would be able to come in as an E-3 with an associates degree. The level 3 cyber certificates are the only way to come in as an E-4. The level 1 and 2 can help with E-2 or E-3.

I work at Sam’s club right now at the tire and battery no college and im 23 . A 60 year old gentleman came to me and said he been retired for 20 years . He said the Air Force one of the was best experience he went through. Now I plan on joining or at least getting deployed in 2025 and I’ll be 24 by the time . I Plan on doing a 4 year contract . man watching your videos are helping me out easing through the process. I know I’ll miss my family tremendously but I know it’ll help me & them out 🤙

I have an IB diploma AND a vocational cert and had to certify that program through NACES last year when I started my process lol. Glad they changed the regs though now. Hope I can come in as an E3

How do they even check for that? The only way i could think of is doctor reports or like prescribed meds for depression, and if you've ever been to a phycologist or psychiatrist

Just came back from MEPS on the 3rd. Out of the 45 applicants processed, me and 2 others were the Only Air Force applicants. That tells you something 😂 (others were army, 3 navy, and 4 marine corps) I’m entering in as an Airman First Class (E-3) due to completed JROTC time. Didn’t have to do referrals, nor a six year contract 😅

So I've been trying to join the military for 2 almost 3 years now. I would prefer the Air Force because I feel like that branch fits me the most. However, I have been physically capable of doing everything that I've seen. I can do all of it, and I know I can do all of it, but because I have medical records stating that I have a past suicidal ideation (I was 13 and never acted on it and im 23 now so I obviously grew out of it), so that's whats keeping me from joining I KNOW I am capable but the military is complaining that they don't have enough recruits and here I am raising my hand to join desperately and they tell me no... so right now is my last attempt to join the military, Air National Guard. My biggest hope is that someone from the Air Force sees this and it goes public, I know that's not going to happen though

Sir, if I may ask Are they lightening restrictions on diabetes? I've been working incredibly hard to get fit and get my a1c down quickly but I've hit a plateau. I went from 400 lbs to 180 in about 2 years but my a1c is still elevated. Would you make a video on the updated meps medical waivers so people can get a better grasp on what the air force is accepting? They had me take the asvab when I went to meps the first time (last year) and I scored a 97 but because of my sugar, they canned me quickly. Thank you for your time and thank you for your service. Unfortunately that’s correct. You can defer yours though. Also if you serve in a federal position for 10 years or more, you can request to have your loans forgiven.

Good changes, but am surprised a cyber security cert will garner E4, but a bachelor degree through high school IB only garners E2, what's up with that? E3 would be better as you can get that with a 6 year enlistment. I'd come back in an admin capacity if needed, but I retired 20 years ago...doubt that's even an option.

The genesis messed up my process lol I passed everything else but they found out I had asthma when I was a kid and in the beginning of 2020 I went to the ER because I thought I had Covid and they prescribed me a inhaler (I didn’t fill the prescription) lol I turned in all the documents meps wants now it’s the waiting game 🤨 I’m glad they changed the age requirement I’m 36 trying to go active duty

Can you provide an updated source for the Cyber Certifications? The link in the description does not seem to work. Also, would getting these certifications for more stripes only work if I get a Cyber related job? And would I get these certifications through the linked website, or through outside sources? I leave for basic training on November 14th. I signed for Aerospace Ground Equipment. I’m excited. I was a little disappointed that I was told that the college loan repayment was on “pause” so I’m assuming that I won’t ever be eligible for it since it wasn’t in my initial contract? That’s my assumption and I’m not familiar with how that works exactly so is that true or since I haven’t left yet, am I able to get it added to my contract?

Thank you so much for your videos. I’ve always dreamed of joining the Air Force, but put it off when I had kids. They’re older now and I decided to join the Reserves. Talked with a recruiter all week and I go to MEPS Dec 4th for testing. I turn 42 in April so I have to ship out before then! I’m excited for his opportunity. I downloaded the AIM High app and have been hitting the workout program hard the last week to start preparing. Thanks again. Also, I have a buddy that was thinking about joining too, but he had questions about the body fat percentage, where can I find more info about the maximum requirements you mentioned?

Man I'm swole. I tried joining back when I was 28. I was told then I was to old. I never thought in a million years they would push the age back like they did. I've also never really seen any advertisements on this. Now, unfortunately I think I'm to old for anything. I'm 44, with a September birthday.

Sir, please help me with these questions, I’m in DEP and on a 10 year Greencard and only entered the US March of this year, I’m curious if enlisting into active duty will expedite my pathway to citizenship because without enlisting I will still be eligible to apply for citizenship after 5 years even if I remain a civilian? I know in the Navy a person gets their citizenship immediately after completing BMT, I’m considering hoping them but I really want to be in the Air Force. Is there anywhere I could get that guarantee that my citizenship will be expedited and I will ship out ASAP since I’ve already went to MEPS and everything went well and now waiting to ship out but I’m not sure on the citizenship route?

It should count as a career program certificate. I would recommend you take it to a recruiter and see if they’ll accept it.

I’m trying to enlist as a green card holder and the only thing I can do in the Air Force according to my recruiter is construction. It’s the end of October and I’d only ship in Feb/March. Sort of sucks as I got a 98 on my ASVAB. Any idea what I can do with this? My other option is the Army with a 2 year contract.

Unfortunately the jobs are very limited for non-us citizens. It is more than construction though, but maybe that’s all your recruiter has available.

I decided a year ago at 25 that I wanted to join, but I was on antidepressants at the time. I spoke to my psychiatrist and decided to quit them cold turkey (which worked out, I am completely fine and now 1 year off antidepressants). My now AD husband said he was sure I could get a waiver now, and I applied to join yesterday only for someone to call me last night saying to give them a call when I hit the 36mo mark off my meds. It’s extremely frustrating that I still have to wait 2 years before they’ll even consider giving me a waiver for mental health? I’ve read recruiting numbers are so bad right now so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t give someone a chance who’s shown they’ve actively worked on themselves and taken steps to improve their mental health. It’s very disheartening.

Try a different recruiter. I’ve gotten people cleared as early as 12 months off medication. The rules do state 36 months is the recommended timeframe, but when requesting a medical waiver, there’s always a chance.

I wish it wasnt so hard to join if you have a history of mental health. I really want to join but I've been told by three recruiters they cant accept me because I use to have depression and take meds in high school, even though I dont anymore. I think its more they dont wanna do the paperwork or help me but I dont know.....

How long have you been off your medication? And I would say I have seen 90% of people who require the documents to quit. The recruiters are ready but the applicant needs to do a lot to get qualified!

I've dealt with some heavy shit too, fortunately or unfortunately I never got anything documented. Unmedicated and undiagnosed my whole life. The only evidence of mental illness are the faint scars on my arms from some bad times. Could easily say I got em army crawling through some blackberry bushes. It's all behind me now and I'm looking forward to making it through to service. Good luck, and never give up.

Question, I finished cyber security boot camp program at a university. I show my certifications of completion to my recruiter, she said it doesn’t count toward to joining because it’s not a college credit.

hello, great video, and thanks, I have some concerns, I am 39 years old, and I want to enter the US Air Force, but I have only permanent residence, I am not a citizen, and I would like a job that needs Top clearance, but for that, I must first enter with a job that allows non-citizens, but the minimum contract is 4 years, my question is, if by the end of my first contract I would be 43 years old, could I choose to change jobs even though the job limit is 42 years old?

Man I'm getting my green card soon and they not allowing me to join Air Force ( Because I'm getting the 2 years green card but they require the 10 years one. I can wait 2 years more and get the 10 years one but I don't wanna lose time. Air force is the only branch who requires the 10 years one you can join the other branches with the 2 years one) So I was talking with the Air Force recruiter and he told me they are loosing a lot of people because of this rule and he said because of this they're planning to change the rule. When I saw the this video I said that's it but unfortunately nothing changed about my situation ;(

There are programs I know the air forces offers blue to green so you would have to talk with someone within your branch. Maybe MPF, or af recruiter

I am slightly confused as to where I would fall, I see that the Security + CE is under (IAM 1). I just recently earned mine this past July. What rank would that be after tech school. I know it has zero effect on Basic training. Thanks in advance for your time sir.
