We took off just after midnight. I apologize for the blurry night view. The camera was focusing on a blur spot or something on the window and I didn't realize it until later. Video continues with a sunrise approach and landing on Runway 22

the sound of pure power is music to my ears. I usually prefer the trent 800 howl and buzzsaw but this was a nice general electric runner up. The newer GE and RR engines found on the 748,787,and a380 seem to lack the buzzsaw

Yeah the Trents definitely have a unique and awesome sound. The 74s and 78s are just so quiet. Even when they takeoff over you it's not very loud. The video from Papeete to Los Angeles is during the day and offers better views than this one so make sure you check out that one!

Must be the first time i see a video of a takeofff in pitch black night with jsut the lights as a clue to what's going on. And it looks fantastic.

The LA Tahiti flight with new Zeland Air arrives to Papeete around 2 to 3 a clock in the morning and thats the name of the game to landing in Tahiti you Will feel a real expérience of space traveling cause of the lights from all small islands around the mainland, truly amazing experience

Nice! Our flight left around midnight and we landed around 6am. It was nice being able to get a good sleep before landing.

samp Hope you enjoy your trip! The service was really good. We had 2 meals during the flight. Unfortunately it's not a lay flat seat so it was a little uncomfortable trying to sleep on the overnight flight, but I guess it could have been worse haha
