I've done it before and would not have hesitated to remind the uncouth pax opposite 10:20 to "Please use the tongs!"😖. (Can't understand the reason for the negative comments you get - they're so 仆街. Keep up the good work. 加油).

You should have tried asking at the check-in counter for them to write you a lounge invitation card when you got downgraded. Third party lounges cannot let you in without either a business class boarding pass or a boarding pass indicating elite status. Many years ago when Cathay Pacific had an equipment swap from HKG-BKK and downgraded me from First Class to Business Class (they actually had first class in those days), I inquired about lounge access and they wrote me a manual lounge invitation for the First Class lounge instead of the Business Class lounge.

I love Air France service in the air.

Great video. Looks like a good business product. I flew the same route on Air France A350 in economy this summer and can tell that their eco product is also pretty solid (if interested you find a flight report from that on my channel). Keep up your great work and safe travels :)

I’ve only used Air France Business class once, however as it was such a good experience they will be my first choice on my regular long haul in future. As was the case here, food and service were outstanding and I slept for nearly 7 hours on an 11 hour flight. Agree about the check in at Heathrow, most uninspiring but at least they didn’t try to downgrade me which would have made me furious to say the least. Thanks for the upoad.

That cabin seems a lot like the united polaris cabin.

With intra European Business Class, it is very easy for them to move the curtain further back to "create" more business class seats. This is what they probably did in your situation

Few questions here: How far was the loung until your gate and do you needed to take a reservation for taking a shower/ paying for it? Thanks for responses ☺️

I watched the video to see how your experience compared with my one and only business class flight on Air France long ago. I found that despite my flight taking place many years before yours, the result was surprisingly similar. What I remember most on my flight was the food. It was the best I’ve had on any European airline flight. Exquisite fine dining at 30,000 feet. I don’t remember what I ate but it was 5 star. Thanks for the trip report. Enjoyed it. Video - LIKE 👍

Hi from Toronto, I enjoy watching your reviews. It was nice that the FA recognized you and spent time chatting. It happened to me once on EVA Air and I was impressed! While you were at CDG and had so much time before boarding, why didn't you explore the new lounge in 2F? It is much better and has much more food to choose from. I was disappointed for you, but luckily the meals served on board met your expectations. I also noticed some wear and tear on one of their A350, but for my last trip to Paris on AF A350 departing from YYZ, the plane was only 3 flights old and had the smell of a new car if you see what I mean. It was pristine! I'll be flying the same plane in Business class in two weeks to spend Christmas in France with my family and am looking forward to it. By the way, have you had a change to try the AF lounge at YUL? Maybe I should do some research on RU-vid. The one they are using in YYZ is horrendous and the food so limited, not even a buffet. I really wished they made improvements. Oh, do you have a website were we can view your pictures? You have a Sony camera it seems? Anyway, thanks again for this review, and if you need help to pronounce the names of those cheeses, ask me ;-) Cheers!

Just curious. Why wouldn't you route LHR-YYZ-YVR? Seems more practical.

If I paid for business and denied lounge access for breakfast preflight I'd be damn piss. You're a man of good nature. Was this recorded recently? Possible for interior of aircraft to be hot during winter? Or this was during autumn season?

If I'm not mistaken CDG 2E(K) has the same architect as DXB... guy must not be an avgeek/spotter...

I always do a walkthrough before leaving a hotel. Replacing things once home again is frustrating.

Nice review - very thorough and fair. Seems to me AF can do better. However, you were a little too Kind Canadian at LHR check-in. An airline cannot downgrade without compensation. You paid for a Business Class ticket (either cash or points or a combination), and you let them off. Yes, it was fixed at the Gate but you lost out on Fast Track and the Lounge. If it was me, I would have launched a Jihad.

CDG is a terrible airport (LHR not great either) which puts AF at a disadvantage when you can fly KLM via Schiphol...

Still mandatory to wear masks in Air France and the airport ?

I would have been massively p'd off if I had booked Business and been told at check-in I was downgraded AND they had denied me lounge access.

There is no business on the A320 so they let you have the seat next to you for free in lieu.

The only thing AF is good at it’s their First class… other than that you don’t feel France!
