Guys, be sure to double check your ingredients. In the ingredients list vanilla is not listed, she does discuss it in the beginning of the video, for the list if you do not remember what she said that she will need for this recipe you will miss it on the list. I do have to say I made these and I have now been requested to bring them to a birthday party. They are amazing, if I might add a pro tip guys, make sure that you have some powdered sugar it only elevated. Outstanding recipe very simple, I just wanted to add remember to add the vanilla. Perfect thank you.
I made the doughnuts. They are great. I don’t have a cutter for the hole just cut into circles and I glazed with chocolate glaze. Three grown men ate 2 each, have 4 to give to my little 8 yr old brother in law for a daily treat, the rest about 6 more are hidden away till I ration them out over the next two days. Thank you. And I really appreciate you sharing your recipes.
Thank you for your recipe - made them yesterday. The donuts came out great! Love the fact that the house does not smell like oil when you are done. I couldn't believe they came out fully cooked after only 4 minutes. I had to play with the glaze recipe since we use Splenda, not real sugar. Will definitely make them again!
I did donuts once when one of my nephews came over. I saw him with his wife a few days later and asked her if she liked the donuts. She looked at him and said you brought donuts home, he hid them so he could eat them for himself 😆. I think they passed the taste test.
Absolutely the best video of yours I’ve seen. Love your videos overall but I like the constant commentary showing you make mistakes and rolling with them and coming up with solutions.
My oh my, glazed donuts are my ultimate favorite at a bakery, so guess that's why I only get one once a year or less. But now, thanks to you dear heart, I can make homemade ones in my air fryer, tadah. I don't have a Cosori, wish I did, but will use the one I have. You are such a genius at this stuff, it is like your special God given talent. What an amazing woman, 8 children, husband, doing videos and coming out with a cook book that I will want for sure. At 71, the air fryer sure makes cooking easier when you have someone like you show us how and wonderful recipes. Thanks a whole lot. Many hugs to you. Claudia
You are changing my mind about my Air Fryer. ❤️ I always felt like I was cheating on my stove. 🤣 It’s neat to see you cooking so many unique things in an Air Fryer. DONUTS?! Just… wow. I’m going to have to try some of these. Love it.
I just bought my airfryer and this is my fifth video that I watch on this wonderful channel, I confess I learned a lot.. thanks for posting great content 👏🏾👏🏾
Oh thank you so much!! I really appreciate you watching and I'm glad the videos are helpful. I love getting to teach people how to use their air fryers, it makes life a little easier for so many!
Hi Kathy!!! Your recipe today sure does look so...delicious. There's no Krispy Kream around me anywhere so...I have never tried them. Don't think I can do this by hand . I have a big mixer!!! May give this a try one day. Thank you for another great recipe. Great video my friend!!!
I just made these - I think my presentation skills have a long way to go before I could convince people they were Krispy Kremes, but they are delish. For centigrade I used 170 degrees for 3 mins and they were perfect. thanks for this - i'll be trying more of your recipes (next is the one with frozen mini baby bels)
I have the smaller Bosch stand mixer and love it. This is a good recipe, seen many others like it. Got my Cosori Air frier used off market place, the basket was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned, ever. I had to use oven cleaner and degreaser over night. The main unit was fine, not much crud. I purchased my Bosch on line used also. The only thing I did to that was change the mixing bowl to a stainless steel one( I hate plastic mixing bowls) and the cap for the assories was missing so I ordered a replacement. Not a Kitchenaide mixer fan.
Kathy, thank you for helping me figure out what type of air fryer to go with. Fingers crossed to try this recipe! Yeast has always intimidated me! I love your honesty on your videos.
Cathy is right on point! Those two videos are a MUST WATCH! I've had an Airfryer for two plus years now and I learned stuff from her videos! She has so many recipes on her webpage I don't know how she finds the time! Heck all thid and 5 school age kids!
made the pork tenderloin for my husband in the air-fryer, using your recipe and he was super happy and said it was delicious i shared the recipe with 5 people T
I gave out a couple at Christmas time and when I said these are my version of Krispee Kreeme one turned around and said “you mean these aren’t Krispee Kreeme “. I had smiles over that comment.
Oh, I made these today and they are fantastic. I took all the donut holes and repurposed them in the cutout dough so I could get 12. Still had a few holes at the end. The first few may have been too thick but as I went they tasted better and better.
Hi Kathy! I just bought the Consori the new one and I love it!!! I noticed Consori also has a bread machine…do you know much about it??? Thank you for teaching me so much about air frying!!!
When I was a kid back in the 60's we had a Sunday afternoon commercial for McKenzies Bakery and the guy would always say whatever desert he was featuring that day was "MmmmmMmmmmGood! Even a day later and warming for 12 sec. the donuts are still MmmmMmmmGood!
Have made these a few times. My “donut snob” friends don’t care for them, while my more open-minded friends like them. They don’t taste like real donuts…more like a sweet bread with glaze. But I think they’re good in their own right.
hi ya i'm rick from ontario, canada is there in canada i can pck up the book near me i use to cook for two til my wife pass away back in sept 9 2021 i did all the cooking and bakng now i want to make ahead meal i love your youtube channel i did the samething before i brought my instant pot i do enjoy it and i make yougurt every other week and rice pudding and rib and happy new year hun cheer
Yum 😋, perfect holiday recipe. Ty for sharing. I only treat myself donuts every once in while. They spike my bs, this is when I'm glad that I have an insulin pump. Great when having a low too.
Wow! I will have to try these! The cost of donuts have skyrocketed and I refuse to pay that much for them. Never thought about making them myself......looks easy enough.. .
Hi Cathy, my Cosori that you have is coming tomorrow, so excited to get it! Took back the 5qt and can’t wait to cook ! Words I never thought I’d say! Ha
Lol! Love those kids! And you know I love you. Your my number one go to for every recipe for my air fryer. Sad thing is, I have celiac. I would love to make these. I'm sure my husband would live them though.
Oh, thank you Dawn!! I love you and your support as well. I'm sorry to hear about your celiac, I hope some of my other recipes will work for you. And I hope he enjoys them as well!
Hi, Follow up message I opted for Cosori 5.8 air fryer over the new 5.0. Want to play it safe with accessories availability. It arrived today the accessories will probably be in Monday. I'll clean it and do the two breaking heat test. Probably do Salem hotdog & buns, and French fries tonight. I did splurge on Sear'N'Sizzle Grill for Cosori from Gold Lion accessories.
That looks like bread dough with extra added sugar, not a donut recipe. That's why one of your kids said the Krispy Kreme donut was lighter. You need to find a better donut recipe and try again. I know you can do it! I believe in you! You can try putting some vanilla extract in the dough also. Another thing I'd like to try is lemon and lime zest in the dough. I tried churros with lemon and lime zest in the batter and they were so good! The batter was so light it is piped through a piping bag with a star tip. Love your videos! I got the Cosori 5.8 qt. just 2 days ago and I'm already enjoying it immensely!
Recently bought an air fryer, do the fans in most models alway stay on and make humming sounds or do they periodically shut off to regulate temp? My air fryer’s fan stops from time to time. Is this how they all work?
@@alexkg940 Is it cooking? Maybe that's just how your airfryer works. Have you checked their website FAQS? Can you return it to the store? Sorry you're not having a good experience.
@@patpeters6331 Thank you for your help. Yes, it cooks and manual says that’s how it operates. I’ve tried a few things. I like that it doesn’t heat up the kitchen. Ideal for warmer months.
These sound amazing - can't wait to make them. (BTW - the secret to the "Krispy Kreme taste" is a little nutmeg...guessing about 1.25 teaspoon for this recipe)
@@empoweredcooks I finally got the chart to tell me what temperature and how long to cook but yeah air fryer is the way to go I don't even use my stove next house won't have a stove I have four air fryers six bread machines you can tell I'm busy thanks again stay safe I'll be back
Just hit order on my Cosori 5.8Q!! so excited. Does the hard copy version of your book ship to Canada, and does it tell me what the shipping would be before I complete the purchase for it?
I've made them twice in a week... First I used baking powder cuz I didn't have yeast, they were ok but more like bread, and had to air fry them for 10 minutes. Second time, with yeast and they were great. However, i don't have the KitchenAid so I made my dough by hand, and I had to use like 4 cups of flour, not 3. Oh, and half my glaze i added 3 tsp of cocoa powder. Everyone loved the doughnuts!
Newbie to air fryers, quick question: Purchased a shepherds pie in the frozen food department. The instructions are to leave the plastic wrap on for the 1st hr of cooking. It will fit in my Cosori 5.8 air fryer. Question is will the plastic come off, and damage my heating element. Play it safe for now, and did it in conventional oven.
Cathy hav you made a video about making tater tots in the airfryer? My niece tried them and they were a disaster. I told her about your channel but couldn't find a video making tater tots. Thanking you in advance for any guidance.
Pat I have made waffle fries and tator tots. They both turned out well. With the tator tots, I thawed them on a paper towel for about 20 minutes then gently patted the moisture off the top before putting them in the Airfryer. Get an even coating of oil on them then re-spritz them at the skake point.
I tried to find a video Cathy did on tater tots. I couldn't readily find one. I did a RU-vid search for "tater tots air fryer frozen" and got tons of videos! That will help for now, and maybe Cathy will see your question and direct you a video she has done on the 'Tots!
I use avocado oil and I put it in a bottle, so I know it is 100% pure and there are no pollutants or anything in there. This is the one I love: amzn.to/3ehdvc7
Hi Sharon! I'm sorry shipping is so expensive. If you'd like, I have an ebook version that you can get. Go to yummyairfryerrecipes.com and you'll find a link to the ebook only page right underneath the pink button that says "go to step #2"
and I was going to tell you that this is a little information that I saw from another person that was making donuts and or actually biscuits when you put your cookie cutter down on the biscuits do not turn it because it it seals and it's hard to explain but you shouldn't turn it and it'll come up your biscuits will come out a lot better or your donuts
Yes absolutely! Here are some links to some you might like! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6WEDw_AmuKI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u-NazbwDZb0.html
I’m not a fan of Crispy Crème anyway. Was surprised to hear your son say they were lighter than air fried ones because I consider CC donuts too dense and oily. I will love making these with my new air fryer! Thank you! P.S. I love to hear you sing-song your words! A person who sings while doing their work is generally very happy with what they’re doing.
You could, but I haven't ever tried so I am not sure. I would preheat the air fryer and then let it run for 2 minutes at 400, then stir your milk and temp it to see how it is doing and go from there! :)
