Ingredients
Dry ingredients
1/4 cup whole wheat flour optional, you can use white
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Mix all the above ingredients very well and add to it,
1 Tbsp. of cold butter, cut into small pieces
Mix the butter with the dry ingredients well and rub it with your hands or a fork until it becomes sand-like.
Add the following ingredients, mix well and set aside
1/2 Tbsp of caraway seeds, or to taste
1/4 cup black raisins
liquid ingredients
1/2 cup milk
1 Tbsp. vinegar
-Mix the liquid ingredients and set aside for 10 minutes so it curdles.
-Mix the liquid ingredients with the dry ingredients and fold gently until you get a soft dough.
-Sprinkle a little flour over the dough if needed and fold and all flour disappear.
-Place the dough on a small baking tray.
-Sprinkle a little flour on top so it doesn't stick to your hand and shape it into a round shape.
-Coat the knife with flour and mark a cross above.
-Bake in the air fryer preheated to 350 Fahrenheit for 35~40 minutes. Flip the bread halfway through. Leave to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
