Its too early to see if they got any better. They havent even got their new aircraft yet. only few A350 and one A 320!

Hey There, if you want to experience Air India at their best try booking the later night flight which is a newly built A350 Dubai-Delhi

Hi, Thank you very much for the suggestion. That's great! I was considering either that flight or probably I'll wait since Air India just announced that it will deploy its new Airbus A350-900 on daily flights from Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) beginning Nov. 1 this year. Take care and thank you again!

they need to get things straight and efficient with their central hubs - mumbai and delhi. Without addressing this basic issue, air india is going nowhere

Actually much better (or less bad) than I expected. Transformation will take time. I tried the new A350 and it is much more promising. Once refurbishment begins, I will be confident to fly them again. Until then, good luck Air India!

That's what it looks like. Would be nice to see them with the new interiors but I don't think that it will happen this year. They will start with the 777s first. The Tata Group has allocated $400 million for the refurbishment task.

You do really good introductions. Nice to see a brief shot of you in the airport and on the plane. You did not look enamoured of the food on the plane. Did you enjoy Dubai or did you find it artificial? Thanks for the trip report.

Thank you very much Norman. I appreciate. I was in Dubai for less than a day, but I liked what I saw. Clean, modern a lot of construction. I only tasted the food a little. It was a bit heavy and spicy for my taste. I ate India food but this type of food never, so I didn't want to give my opinion. What I can say is that the two people who were sitting next to me ate it all. Take care!

You should try their new aircraft and not the old ones that haven’t even been renovated to decide if they’ve improved or not

Not yet. Boeing is yet to deliver the 787-9 to Air India following its order for the latter in February 2023. I believe the order is for 20 787-9. Take care!

I can't really say as the Vada Sambar was quite spicy and heavy for me and I couldn't eat it. What I can say is that the two people who were next to me ate it all

Air India never get right always low service they need to learn from Emirates Qatar Eithad that why this airlines are top of the list

Thank you Fatima for the comment. Air India has some work to do if they want to compete with these airlines. The difference in pricing is not that big when compare. Hopefully they will get there with the new owners. Take care!
