Love these "cold air" mods that actually place the intake opening inside the engine compartment instead of drawing in air from the front of the car like the factory setup does. Looks nice but most likely is a power loser.
just did the same job on my 93. I got the adaptor and cone filter from oreilly auto parts. had to drill new holes in the adaptor to fit the MAF assembly but after that it fit like a charm. I'll post a response video on here for you to check it out.
Just remember that stock is better in this situation but im not going to bash you like other people on here just because you wanted to have a little fun. All of us have done it.
If i were you i would put the stock intake. With your set up it, less air is coming in with its tiny piping. Plus with the hot air sucking it you loss about 3-5 mpg and lost a decent amount of horse power. Just because it looks cooler and sounds better doesn't mean you should put it on.
Hi thanks for your video. were you ever having a problem with your MAF sensor? Im thinking of doing the same thing you did maybe it might solve my MAF sensor problem on choking the engine when the engine is hot.
Ok.. a lot of talking... no real work in this video. You didn't show the disassembly OR the assembly. Just a lot of talk halfway through the job. It's even the wrong filter.
