For many years I was focussed trying to fool a smart fish into taking a fly. Many years of getting up in the middle of the night almost in a rush to get to the stream. I still get up early every now and then however, it is equally as much for the beauty of seeing the morning unfold as it is for the increased chance of the early morning strike. The more years that I spend wandering the more I realize just how much the beauty of each moment becomes. It is a time to appreciate and reflect while leaving behind the so many of todays troubles. The many elements to each new day is a refresh and the chance to AIR IT OUT. In most cases I return ready to meet the challenges of the next day. It is beautiful.

Oh I am so glad. I often find myself going back to relive these moments. Honestly that is why I use video. My father used to do home movies and we all would huddle together and he would pull out the super 8 projector and take down the picture on the wall. You could smell the solid metal projector as it got hot and before the film began we would so hand animal silhouettes on the wall or simply just watch the dust as it floated by in the beam of light cutting through the darkness. I am one of 9 children. This plays in my head. I love it. I love going back and maybe that is what I am doing. Thanks dad. There is so much to fly fishing that I love and those unique moments come and go each day. The remember whens. I think I managed to catch a few in this. Thank you so much! All the best Keith.

A pilgrim soul resides in you. Nature’s dawn benedictions captured perfectly here. One of your best.

Awesome stuff as usual Chris. You certainly know how to capture the moments. When I was young, I got up early to fish because my daddy said we had to. He's been gone for many years and I still get up early to fish, because daddy said we have to. Tight lines sir!

Well that is as good a reason to get up as there is. I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father years ago too and I feel him in moments all of the time. These moments are priceless and the so many more that I have walked through. It is all part of a beautiful pastime. The fish are the bonus. All the best and thank you for the kind words.
