That’s all supposed sneaker heads care about today is resale value! They care more about that, than the actual shoes themselves. Let’s face it, the Sneaker Community is a sad state of affairs today. This is a really nice pair of sneakers and I’m glad to have them in my collection! I could care less about resell value or hype. I buy what I like!
I dig em. Actually love that hype on these has died off bc I was able to cop a pair easily with no headaches. A bad time to be a reseller, I suppose, but a great time for those of us just looking to buy what we like for retail.
These just released a couple of hours ago here in Australia, and instead of selling out in 30 seconds like usual, they were thankfully slow to go. Can hardly wait to get them now, even more so after watching this!
Can't pass the OG color blocking of the Royal 1s, yes it wasn't the leather build but it's good enough for me. Since times change, a lot of those who were casually attracted to sneakers have left, resellers now have much less people to sell kicks to, less people now are interested in buying overpriced, overhyped sneakers. I honestly don't care whether 1s are hyped or not, what's it's "market value", All I care about is to wear them. I'm so happy to be able to buy these with zero hassle, difficulty for retail. Since it's sitting, I may pick up another pair if it goes to discount down the line.
It was first come first serve in EU, I overslept and ordered 10 minutes later, copped. Gotta love it when people do not get overhyped and we can get shoes we like without stressing
Love that I could cop. Honestly I think the reason the are sitting is because of the material. Suede in general doesn’t age well when it gets dirty and is a pain to clean.
If they plan on keeping a crisp pair of these then i really think it would be a bummer to take care of em. I plan on beating up my pair, will give it more character when the suede creases and fades 😁
@@annawalker5115 Wait when did I say they were fully suede lol? I have suede and leather J’s and the suede color fades quick eventually every time I clean them. I don’t mind suede as a material, but I know most people don’t prefer them because they don’t age as well as regular nike leather J’s.
When prices are low this when you buy. We been through so many times before. Then in the next 5-10 years prices are gone sky rocket. I got the chicagos one for 110 back in 2013 with a 30 percent discount sitting like ducks.

I feel like the reason its a "sleeper" is because the community is getting smaller. I started buying jordans in 2020, I only ever had like 2 pairs growing up as a kid. So when I came back during covid and actually started collecting shoes I copped ALOT but then slowed down heavy 2 years in when I realized I didn't really need or enjoy the hobby like that. I just like shoes. So now I don't "gotta have" a rare drop anymore imo. I just get whatever colorway is available if I really want a certain jordan sillhoutte, OR i wait till the specific shoe in question restocks/redrops/retro's again.. Even if that might take years 😂 Atleast that'll give me something to buy in 15 years if i'm still interested in Jordans!

I don’t think og sneakerheads going crazy for these. Nike needs to slow down on royal and bred releases. I still have my og royals. Plus I copped those flyknit royals just don’t need these.
I'm 28 and have been into shoes for a long time and I love this shoe I think it's nice to get something different every now and then is it better than the og? Hell no but it's still nice to see something different in my opinion
@@Brandon-ft3cs they could have done more than just switch the material .it’s not enough to justify buying another pair of royals especially if you own the og and the other spinoff’s before this one.

Thank god these are sitting and under retail cuz i really fuck with these. Yes i would have liked a normal leather version like the lostnfounds but i fw the all suade. I like the blue even tho its a bit brighter than the og
I feel like the materials are the main reason they're sitting. Not because there's anything wrong with suede, but because it's the wrong time of year to wear a shoe like this in lots of areas, mine included. In my area during the fall/winter it's always overcast...wet and rainy...maybe a sunny day every few weeks at best. There's no way I'm buying a suede shoe if I have to wait until the summer to wear it no matter how much I like it. I'd love to have these, but not badly enough that I'm gonna cough up the dough now. I'm gonna wait until the spring or later before I try to pick up a pair, and I imagine a lot of people will do the same. Love the content...keep it up!
@@peaceonearth7142 True, but it's still an extra step, and I've found especially for sneakers that scotchgard or crep protect or collonil or whatever only works to a point, not to mention that you have to re-apply every year at least. Most people, especially when it comes to their shoes, aren't going to take the time.
I think it’s a combination of J1 fatigue + economy + lot of people wanting them to be like the Chicago reimagined and being turned off at the fact that they’re suede. Oh well, like everyone’s said - easy cop for me 😂
Returned mine yesterday. Don’t have Royal 1s in leather- but 180 for a consolation prize is tough. That’s what these are - consolation prizes. They don’t have anything engaging about them like the lost and found. It’s an official bootleg
I broke down today and ordered a pair. I think they look killer! Ive been on the fence, should i wait on bred 4s or j1 royal suede? Ill cop both lol. Ill swap these out with my red suede 5s and my racer blue 9s. Just me but i think these look better than the 2017 royals.

Ppl think it’s trash. And i love it, coz i got it below retail 😂 i like these coz I’ll beat them up, and beating them up will crease the suede, will fade the (blue) suede, will give the (black) suede the ashy look, and it’ll give the shoe more character. Makes it more of a personalized look based on how your foot operates and creases the shoe. Plus, i’ve never had the og royals. So i think it’s a must grab for me.
Dj to be honest bro in my opinion what I think about the air Jordan 1s reimagined royal I think they look 🔥 and great on feet to be honest I would definitely cop’em and also add them to my collection I just loved it the black and that royal suede color-way 🔥 I truly can’t wait to add them to my collection cuz Jordan 1s are one of my favorite Jordan’s.
Now the OG sneaker heads can get back to enjoying our shoes. All the hype beasts on the next trend....I know the craft j4 olive is probably going to be tough to get, but atleast I can cop these. Haven't released in South Africa, yet.

Happy to have hit on them. They look wider than the previous releases in this video. Have to go a size up on leather Jordan 1’s for room in the toe but my CMFT 2 Jordan 1 is TTS. Hoping that holds true here as well as I ordered TTS.
A dope shoe for sure! It is interesting to see them sit right now. There are a lot of good releases coming next year but maybe this is the true turning point of the game that can allow all the real heads to enjoy sneakers fro a 2-3 year window.
i really liked these and i bought em but i had to return my pair cuz both shoes had spots on the suede on toe boxes and it looked like it was rubbed off i was pissed
I got EA on these and I can tell you pictures don’t do they justice. I still got a DS 2017 pair and I copped the because I didn’t want to waist the EA. Glad I copped because the show is 🔥🔥🔥 in hand.
Well, the Bottom line is if Nike would’ve limited the production of these to only 350k pairs then resellers would’ve made some odd $150million by reselling them for double (at least) and then the same sneakers would’ve been the hottest and the greatest of 2023. Leaving the OG PG AG comparison aside, I love the j1 style, shade of blue and premium material for exactly $114.75 that I paid to Nike
