I love this shoe, mostly because the bottom won’t get piss yellow! I’d like to see a mid version as well. Love lows for the summer time. I feel these lows look great with shorts where as the mid only look good with shorts if your hooping. Intro was funny by the way.

I remember open the SNKRS app the morning these dropped. I was on the fence about them, but said, “heck it,” I’ll cop. So glad I did because I feel like these aged like fine wine. Yeah, they’re not highs and I know that’s a big reason why a lot of people passed, but over time I think we’ve all learned appreciated the aesthetics of the low, especially in this coIorway. I still get double takes from other sneaker heads when I break them out. I can tell they’re thinking, “dang, I should have copped…”

This seemed like the perfect shoe to me when I saw it on the radar, the concord upper and the red sole so it won't yellow. But you made a solid point, and I didn't see on the early pics that it's leather rather than mesh.

Great review as always! Strong co-sign on bringing XVII Lows back, I'm fiending for some Lightnings! I always appreciate you talking about the insoles, that's a detail that gets oddly overlooked considering how much we feel that. I just can't get into the Patent Leather XI Lows except for that first '01ish run. The PL is so damn skinny most of the time; I hate it. Nice colorway though.
