I had the originals back in the day. They were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn in more than 20 years.

Now this is a true retro,, need this in my locker

Absolute classic! I was too young for the OG 1-14s. My earliest Jordan memory began with the 17s and that a-hole kid in my school who always brought the suitcase it came in to every game but couldn't actually hoop lol But these 18s are way too fire! The fact that the materials and tech specs actually compare to the 2003 release has me excited not just for these but the 19s possibly next year. I have been waiting so long for those to retro properly and the release of the 18 has me excited about the potential. And as always NW you do a great job of giving us the info we want about sneakers like these! No hype just all the facts we need to know and stuff we never really consciously think about like the toedown view vs the profile view. Keep it up man! Hope your channel keeps on growing.

Absolutely hated these when they first dropped and I was in HS. But they look dope to me now and I feel you about the little details like the vents and magnet. Those kind of things just seemed amazing 15+ years ago lol.

AGREED!!! the 18.5 are my grail shoe!!! picked up at pair, size 13 and truly beat up, but still in my collection until i get a replacement!!!!

I like these a lot but I couldn't fade paying $225 for them, especially after dropping like $450 on a Nintendo Switch and games/accessories less than a week ago as a birthday gift to myself lol. They seem to have limited them enough to where they're selling well, but if I can catch a pair for $160ish or under a little down the line; I'm all over them. Great review as always! That leather looks beautiful.

I had these when they came out in 2003. Everything you said was on point! Tech, Materials, and most all 🔥🔥🔥. Don’t forget too, Lebron’s Air Zoom Generation also released the same year as the 18s!! I will be getting the Wheats during the All-Stars. And yes I just got the W today too. Keep Killin’ it with these reviews!!

Ok honestly I did not like these much, even when I saw they were retroing this year but was like “eh I know there will be people that really love this shoe and will be happy they re released em and that’s dope they gave em such great attention to detail especially on the leather. Love your reviews, always precise and tackles every detail on the shoes. Jordan 17 made me love playing with J's but after playing with the 18's oh man it's like heaven on your feet. One of the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn, if not the most. I can't really recall the comfort the exact comfort level because as you said it's been 15 years but I'm putting it as the same level of comfort as the crazy explosive pk. Thanks for the review!

Nightwing, I'm a guy from Venezuela, so I just used to go and see the AJ XVIIIs and go back home. Then, I lived 3 years in Canada, but that was 2004-2007, so they were too new to be retroed. Now, I live with my wife in Chile, and as soon as I see them ANYWHERE (hence the word), I'll try my best to make a deal with my better half wife to get them. (That colorway, the free throws in Philadelphia... That commercial!) Thanks A LOT for doing what you love doing and sharing it with us. XVIIIs are special in many ways!

Isn’t the 18 inspired by lamborghini murcielago (hence the flaps) instead of f1 race car like you mentioned? I had the 18 lows in white unc but they fell apart even before i got a chance to wear them :( hope nike will retro those as well! Great review as always, keel it up!

Similar story to yours, I have only the CDP 18s. The originals were too expensive for me, too. Had to hustle HARD for the CDP 18+5. But had to have them as the 5s are my favorite early Jordan and 18 my favorite later Jordan (together with maybe the 28). IMHO the topdown look is not that bad, especially after wearing for a bit. I guess the creases made them very personal and lovable.

i remember getting the black/royal pair way before i started collecting sneakers for $70 at the outlets. they were the 1st pair of jordans i got while in high school. they were my gym class beaters, but they were soo comfortable. i hope they retro those too, but the $225 price tag is a bit hefty

Im glad that jordans are going back to being limited. back when they were a few years ago the quality was always good to amazing. once they started doing shit off of hype the quality just went down. hopefully they keep this up because these shoes are top 5 sneakers of the year by far
