I know i will get mix reactions with this review but I need to say what's on my mind. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the L&F J1 Reimagined released ??Peace out!! ❤️
Respectfully have to disagree agree about a lot especially the leather! I’ve ordered 3 Nike by you in the last 9 months & the leather on these bred 4s is far superior! A higher cut & way softer & just buttery. This is the most comfy Jordan 4 besides the SB4. Imo this will prolly be the most demanded in a few years because they will prolly never do a leather version again.
No probs brother, you're entitled to your opinion. i have ordered some Nike by you too and the way the grain pebbles show on this pair resembles a Lot of Nike By you. Is this close to L&F presentation, answer is no or even the WC3. Is this close to Mblack quality and refinement also no. But this is supposed to be Reimagined right? So i don't get it 🤷🏽
@@PMSchaft NBY leather is stiff not silky soft like SB4s. Just go feel the difference in the leather on the tongue of your NBY dunk & then feel the Bred 4. It’s a night & day difference. The bred 4 is silky buttery soft leather that doesn’t need to be broken in unlike the NBY dunk leather which does need to be broken in. L&F story line yes is the best but this doesn’t have the ‘lost & found’ story line to it. The WC3 only difference was they made the sole & back tab sail instead of white. Thats it. Box lid was slightly L&F looking. The royals only made the box blue but completely changed materials to suede which is the ‘reimagined part’ of it. The bred 4s completely reversed the box from normal & the materials to leather is the ‘reimagined’ part. It’s not supposed to have the ‘lost & found’ story line to it. The WC3 is so close to the original it’s just a sail colored sole that’s it. Where as the Bred 4s are completely different from the originals almost like they were ‘reimagined’ 😂 They also made changes to make them more comfy the shape of the reimagined bred 4s is completely different from the bred 4s of the last 20 years. They made a lot of changes to this shoe especially when comparing it to the WC3 or royals.
@@IconicSwooshesactually all those points you mentioned are all covered in this video, i even stated what's the advantage of this leather vs the 2019. Overall it's not impressive, that's it. If you want story line this pair has more if Nike care to improve their packaging. I think we should start pointing out what's missing Like QC instead of accepting it like normal. About the leather yeah the by you is stiffer but the grains are equal which made this in person not so pleasing. It's like pig skin dyed in black. 😅
@@PMSchaft No worries I just disagree & think this pair is amazing. Everybody likes different things. I got 4 pairs & have no QC issues nor did my 2 local shops which dozens of pairs but there will always be some with issues just doesn’t seem wide spread to me like the Travis 4s were

I'm an old head but these are 100x better than the 2019 pair. It's leather, the shape, and they're more comfortable. I didn't have QC issues with mine and honestly thought the quality of the materials were quite good for a Jordan brand product. Definitely in the running for SOTY for me. 🙂

Amazing pair. Been wearing them heavily and may be my SOTY. def better than the OGs.. leather feels good, they are super,comfy and will age amazingly. Need another pair.
lol I think this will be a shoe that you’ll have more respect for as time goes on. This is like an album that when you hear it the first time you’re not really feelin then after a few months or years you start to enjoy.

For me, there's just something about that deep black suede. On wear testers, when Chris held up both pairs, the leather j4 breds just fell flat for me in comparison.

i just got mine today and to be honest I’m glad i pulled the trigger for resale price yeah i payed a lil extra , but my first thoughts was I need a pair of the reimagine bred 4s unfortunately i was working on release date and unfortunately cant tell time if it’ll go back in stock or not and if it did shii i might just grab me another pair but overall material i loved it , is just what caught my attention and the detailing ya dada but yeee

Completely agree with this review. I got mine and they definitely didn’t live up to the hype. The shiny leather is so distracting. I feel like it takes away from the look of the shoe. Wish the 2019 pair were not 600 dollars resale because I prefer the look of those. Absolutely overhyped.

I got sneaker pickups sb 4 and this reimagined, never been more disappointed, quality is sub par, keeping my pairs ds so i can sell it amd buy me military blue instead

I have high tolerance on glue stains, the worst i have was the WC3. Nike will not do rejects or B grade unless it's returned. They always try to sell it first.
@@PMSchaft yeah that’s true, my bacons and dusty olives were really bad. But I did get a new pair from the recent restock on the dusty olives and fingers crossed a get a good pair and not one that was returned for glues stains
I’m going to put some white laces in mine. It’s a clean shoe but I think my A Ma Maniere pair are far more superior in my opinion but I like both. Good review my friend. If they were blue instead of red they’d be the alternate motorsports but nobody says anything about that lol.

I didn’t own any bred 4’s so this was the best way to get a pair for retail! Yeah the L&F way better and appreciate you brotha and keep up the good work!
Found out that theres a lot of difference between pairs made by SZ and LNM. LNM have thicker mesh/cage lines, different insole, red paint on the sole doesn’t light up by UV/blacklight, have mens/womens sizing on the sticker tag on the box. Basically pairs also have different shape especially the toebox. Seems that pairs made by LNM factory have better quality and built compared to SZ. Bad thing is that most reps are based on the SZ pair that makes the authentic SZ ones inferior to the US release. Not happy about the shoes having variants bec a lot will say “mine is better than yours”. I somehow don’t feel super happy about my purchase cause I prefer the US release cause its features are closer to the SB4’s compared to the SZ pairs EU/Asia release.
Same with the Damps, EU and Asia are getting the yogurt outsoles and US are Milky. If this is true then this explains everything, from the glue smelling Like Reps and lousy QC. Also the EU release have these markings behind the insoles and stamps on midsoles if you take off the insoles from the shoes. Which i believe the reps also have these markings. Thanks for the info!
@@PMSchaftso true! The SZ version is what the reps are based on. Also a word that has spread out is that there has been an initial production for this shoe before the company finally decided that the reimagine will get the SB4’s characteristics, possibly the reason why there’s variation in shape between different factories. Hope I had the LNM because from all the videos I’ve watched, it looks like the polished version of the shoe. Yea, mine had the stamps on the insole and footbed and mine’s retail, also smells like a rep coz of the glue. The tumbled leather also in my pair is not consistent. Typical Nike QC issues.

This makes sense now, i mean I'm a j4 fan and it's one of the models that will always make my jaw drop during unboxing. And apparently this time it's meh, simply no workmanship and finesse. No need to glorify stuff which i paid 200+ Dollars, i don't want the history or whatever nostalgia this shoe has it's back as an excuse to under deliver. I don't care what MJ did long time ago, this is a mass produce sneaker, give me a shoe that's worth 220€.
I respect the takes but I was never a fan of the taupe haze J4. Colors were nice, material choice was questionable. But to each their own. I love my pairs of the 4 reimagined. There was 1 I got that had QC issues but nothing crazy. Cant wait to wear them back home to the Philippines.

you’re usually spot on.. not in this case.. i have every single pair of this shoe.. since 1989. If you knew how the shoe breaks down over time, you could only “reimagine” what they would’ve looked like if they were already full grain.. they executed this PERFECTLY ok, bye

There are rumors being EU pairs have replica insoles (2018 stamp at the bottom). US youtubers compare retail and UA pairs, and tell that insoles with 2018 stamp are FAKE. Could you please comment on this? What about your insole, could you please check? By the way, I am also European and my insoles have 2018 stamp as well…
If you bought yours in a legit shop there's nothing to worry but if you got it from online unknown reseller then it's likely yours are fake. Yes i have all the stamps and everything but I got mine from SNKRS 🤷🏽
@@PMSchaftI got mine from an Autorized Retailer. However, my pair got the same stamp. However, US RU-vidrs claim that insoles having 2018 stamp and blue numbers are UA pairs. Exactly! mine was OKish QC. Just the overall look of the shoe that's lacking you know, the punch. Shiny faded black leather that Looks so unpleasant imo.
I agree I wasn’t interested at all in this release and didn’t bother with them. I just don’t like the look of the leather all over being the same. I also found them looking pretty boring and actually like the look of the previous ones which were much darker black. Totally overhyped for no reason apart from maybe resellers trying to hype them up to make some money.

@@PMSchaft I really only buy SBs, they rarely let me down in terms of fit and comfort. My daily gotos are terra plum acg and celedons those great colorways imo and still look great after months of wear. Last pickup the deep royal blues which had zero hype and I love them aha
Picked up mine for a skate shop along with the coconuts. They are both super nice 👍the burgundy crush feel substantial maybe heavier due to the leather - they look like they will last forever 😂
Sorry in my opinion ill take the fake leather over the durabuck or nubuck any day my cement 3s have lasted longer than my 5s 4s anything with those materials are horrible.
