I worked at a music store and their tech came in to rent a little keyboard controller. When infreaked out that it was for Air he took down my name and put me and a plus one on the guest list. This was right after MoonSafari. Show was incredible.

No matter how many AIR live concerts are in youtube, I guarantee you will listen to them all and be amazed just as I am now! Stripped back, sublime bliss perfection. The epitomy of one of those French patisserie stores that stops you in your tracks and makes you stand in front of the window display like a 4 year old 🙂😮😯☺️🧁
rare indeed. but they are out there for sure. listen to Men I Trust "Untourable Album" I think it fits the description pretty good. they are French Canadian too.

It is extremely rare that a group plays so good as if it was being played off the master tape or off an album with perfection like Air can. They are beyond good !
A number of years ago I was visiting Tacoma WA and found that Air was playing there that night in the Pantages theater. I went to the box office to see if any tickets were left. They had released some previously held tickets and I ended up buying two seats in the first row right in front of the band. It was an amazing show & I could not believe I scored those tickets.
I agree, Air music is closer to Pink Floyd than Daft Punk or Cassius. I never understood why they were always linked to that "French touch" house movement.
Just off the phone with my Parents, they're retired, they're both currently sitting on the third floor balcony by the sea in Spain, chillin' with this playing in the background. Mother has a G n' T while Father just pulled a Guinness from a Tap we both installed together last year.
Lovely execution all around. Anybody moaning about the little differences between the recorded and live versions here has zero concept of what these gents have pulled off between just the four of them. I have loved AIR for 20 years and they still keep me happy.
I would imagine it is a hard feat to pull off, and the sound on this is amazing. Also, I never understood why people complain about live versions. I mean, a live version sounding like a recording sort of defeats the purpose of being "live" Lol..
I saw them in Philadelphia about 20 years ago.Philly is a tough crowd but they were excellent and the crowd behaved with the exception of my young friend who was used to going to Cannibal Corpse shows.
I always struggle to find big Air fans in real life. I've listened to all their albums and love each and every one. Sometimes I think they're so big and famous but other times I still think they're majorly under the radar. And that's cool. I would just like to vibe with someone while listening to them.. someone else who gets it.
Actually this is one of the best bands I have ever witnessed playing live. And they excel at this gig naturally. „Well done“ would be a huuuge understatement. And yes, That Bassline. Played so meticulously. What an awesome job
Just WOW! As a fan of AIR I’m ashamed to say I’ve never seen them live, this was the next best thing, so talented and so mellow at this dodgy time in the world xxx
Been a huge fan since living in Sydney in 1998, still my top 2 most listened to bands for the last 5yrs on Spotify and La Femme d’argent is absolutely timeless!!

Guys, you took me back to the Autumn of 2016 in Mexico City. AIR played this brilliant set at the Corona Capital Festival, and almost four years later... I still can't get over it, and I never will. That day was a dream come true.
So, tonight i rolled a joint after few weeks of stop, and i ended up listening binaural concerts. Aftera few amazing videos i arrived here....and OMG i cant even describe the journey what i got here. Thanks!
Truly one of the greatest groups of all time...Up there with their roots brothers, Kraftwerk, and contemporaries like Beck (with whom they once collaborated). Really can't get enough of them. Always enjoy their deep, soothing, and deeply soothing sounds! And quite generous with what they share with us here on RU-vid. Thanks guys!!!
This is probably my favorite video of a concert, from anyone, ever. ALSO, I think it is my favorite ending to a concert, ever! Perhaps because they played my favorite song ever, for the final song.....I can't quit using the word ever.....It isn't necessary to illustrate my point, that this is an amazing show, from amazing musicians, and also the videographers, editors, and all involved! Thank you everyone for this amazing piece of art!
Yes - what can you say... I remember driving down the spectacular D'Entrecasteau Channel when 'Cherry Blossom Girl' first hit the airwaves...shivers ran down my spine - it brings tears to my eyes still. It is the perfect pop song. La Femme D'Argent'... one of my favourite songs of all time - such a perfect variation on a melody. Their albums are so perfectly realised. They are probably my favourite band of all time, as they are simultaneously super-cool, warm, deeply enigmatic, smooth but can build to a killer wall-of-sound at will.
I attended the concert in Vienna 2 days ago. One of the best ones in the last decade. ❤ It goes thru your ears, directly to your heart and further down...
lucky bastard!!! cant imagine what the sound system they used must have sounded like. guessing the highest quality type. which eye only got to hear one time so far in this life.
New favorite RU-vid music performance video. AIR, PLEASE make my dreams come true and tour the US soon, and be sure to stop in Austin, TX when you do. It's the Paris of Texas. Austinites are true music appreciators and would turn out in huge numbers to see a live Air performance, even if you are severely underrated in the US. Thank you for your incredibly elegant and unique sound.
For sure Only White Clothing was a precondition. But standing still too? There are at least 4 parts where automatically at least my hips wouldn’t longer followed what I was told, and would have started moving. I always was among the firsts if not the first on a dancefloor during nearly more than 20y of clubbing. And these days more visiting rock-concerts - but I‘m not one of the 90% seeing the expensive event through their 6‘‘ Smartphone screen, but with my own eyes (there is always someone nearer with a better equipment filming it all). Smartphones changed live concerts and nightclubbing for the worse. Loving clubs where people filming get kicked out - what happens in a club, should stay in a club. There’s just one video on YT with me visible - and I‘m happy bout that!
Been listening in awe with these guys since the start. For creative music they made their own space and I don’t think anyone can criticize anything they’ve ever done. They always did “air” wether easy listening or disjointed and thought provoking. Pure genius and love. Also dig the drummer who reminds me of John Bonham with his flair. Exceptional soundscapes. Cheers 🙏💕
I was lucky enough to see AIR in 2007. I saw them at Street Scene in San Diego Ca. Street Scene was usually held Downtown, in 2007 Street Scene was held at Coors Amphitheater.I was working as a runner and got to see them! What a great show!!
They take You to an atmosphere, to a spacial place.. how sutil are the sounds, the soft intromissions of the instruments.. the changes (so pinkfloydean by Moments)...
That Opening!!! Oh My gooooooood!!! Look at this!! The audience is in all white too.... My jaw is on the floor... Don't Be Light is EXCEPTIONAL. This is awsome. I clapped when I recognized the melody of Cherry Blossom, just like they used to do in the old days, once they recognized a great hit. I can't believe these colors for this one. What is this intimate little ass crowd? Oooooohhhh binaural boom..... Radian is super duper epic here. If I was at this show, they would be like 'be quiet sir". This little crowd is not giving me what I need, but I like the outfits. These lights are so ridiculously amazing. They are DELIVERING, Live!!! This is so sick. Wow, he's playing those melodies. They sound better than the recording! Love this performance. Wow, the binaural touch is really cool. You can really feel it... Is this Alpha Beta Gaga, I guess? Thanks Rickard Ahl. I love this pace for this song and the future sounds are so strong and pure. I love these guys. Definitely wanna put some Onederful dancing to these guys' catalogue. We gettin' funky right before 27 mins. I would have been making a a fool of myself at this show. Hands in the AIR jumping around, moshing on this one, nah, but close! Oooooooohhhh.... How does it make you feel.... I am jumping around my studio to Kelly Watch The Stars.... This tempo is a revelation. That key work!!!! I wish they were playing for real fans! Are these people like models or just locals, or something? No comprende' Have You Ever Heard Kelly Watch The Stars before? The lights and sound are impeccable for this show. The performance is for 10, 000 people and there are only 10. I am so impressed. Sexy Boy Lights are out of control... sounds funking amazing. Vox are nailing it...... What is the effects chain?!! Oooh the remix at 53 mins.... so dooooooope super jam. Oh my wow, so sick!!! I wish I could have been there.
Even better than the live performance in Cologne I had the pleasure to attend many years ago. Also love how you guys play live instead of just feeding prepared sequences to your synths.
I always think of Air as the orphan love child of Pink Floyd and Jean-Michel Jarre and Serge Gainsbourg is their kinky uncle but may actually be the real father.
So good. They've been one of my favourite bands for years but I didn't realise just how much I love them until I saw them at the Bluedot festival in 2016.
Amazing!! I wish I could have been there in person but I'm fully enjoying this video as I shelter in place. Thank you, Air, for all the wonderful songs over the year. 🙏
@@3rdeye914 God I didn’t even think about that. But did you see how disappointed they were when they played the Cherry Blossom girl lick and nobody recognized it and they were like dude these aren’t even fans.
@@jerrydouglas4583 I know frickin drones, can we get like some emotion? I wish I could buy and download this whole set, it is a journey better than most of their recordings.
I was in the ticket line before an Air concert in Firenze, Italy.A guy came ands asked who was playing: "Air", "What they sounds like?" "Pink Floyd, sort of".- The guy left. I wonder the description wan't enough good for him.
