I wear the hazel color, the blurriness goes away after a few days after your eyes get used to the color. After about a week of wearing them I no longer got fuzzy or blurry vision on the edges
My sister has naturally grey eyes, she checks "blue" because that's the closest option. We look more alike when I wear the sterling grey over my brown eyes; they match her natural color exactly. Well done, thank you for the informative video.
Whoa!! She must be super lucky having naturally gray eyes! I’m starting to like the sterling gray more and more, still not quite used to be blue ones hahaha. Thanks so much for watching!! ❤️
@@jenmakesup thanks for this video please do some more - grey looks AMAZING on you I'm gonna order these because I saw how great you wore them and I have brown eyes too!
Cherry, I have dark brown eyes and wore the stirling grey...they make you look like you have natural blue eyes. I was even asked if they were my natural eyes.
Jennifer Chang I give it usually about a day or two for them to feel like nothing is there. I’ve had lasik also and the only difference I’ve noticed really is my eyes are more dry than before. I’ve only worn sterling grey and SO many people would compliment my eyes and would say it looks very natural. My eyes are naturally light hazel.
The grey is my favorite for sure! I’m with ya my eyes do get drier faster with contacts. I usually only wear these for a makeup tutorial or a night out here and there!
Damn, they look great on dark brown eyes! I wish they made toric lenses. I used to wear the Acuvue Define lens a couple years ago (mostly cus Chrissy Teigen was a partner), and they were a dark brown, but had a bigger iris, which made my eyes look bigger, but other people couldn't really see a difference. When I was a teenager, I had these crazy cool bright blue colored contacts, but they weren't the right size for my eye, so they were a little larger and I can't remember that brand, but I feel like they were also Acuvue.
im trying to decide between trying gemstone green and sterling silver bc i have dark brown eyes too and i was hoping this would help me figure it out but you look so great in both and im SO indecisive ... AAAAAAHHHHH
Jennifer Chang i think i’m going to try the silver first and then the green. thanks so much for this video! it was super informative and fun to watch :)
The green shows up good on your eyes. The gemstone green didn’t do much for my brown eyes. I have tried the sterling gray and they looked great and more natural. My go to is brilliant blue because I like the vibrant pop of blue color. They just came out with turquoise, amethyst, and few other colors. Oh btw...it takes a few days for your eyes to adjust properly with colors. I’ve been wearing color contacts for 10 plus years. I love them!
Yes the brilliant blue does pop the most! Green is probably my favorite from these. I’ll have to look at the new colors! Does the fuzziness/cloudiness go away after a few days?
Yes. Sometimes when I put a new pair in, it’s a little cloudy and like a tint in my vision. It doesn’t last long for me though especially since I’ve been wearing them for so long. I ordered turquoise! Can’t wait to try them.
Thanks for the review! I just had lasik too and will be able to wear colored contacts again after 20 years! Yay!! The last ones I wore back in the day were the Freshlook Colors. The Violet and Baby Blue really "popped" and covered my brown eyes well. I tried the Freshlook Colorblends when they came out too, but they were barely noticeable. I'm considering these and the Desio brand from Italy, which have great reviews. Those come in so many beautiful colors. I'm going to ask my eye doctor if he recommends them.
@@jenmakesup I tried Deseo and they are great !!! The problem is The company is not good though!! if you receive a defective contact they will never replace it. And most of there contacts are defective unfortunately
For some reason my trial contacts with no prescription had that cloudy issue that was so annoying, but once I got my prescription with these lenses I didn’t have this issue AT ALL. I think it has to do with them being made to fit your eye. I would tell anyone not to be dissuaded by the cloudiness if you have the trial pack.
Hello! I see this is an old video but thought to comment (: the honey looks sooo pretty on you and the gray one too. I was a bit confused by what you had said about Toric and Astigmatism lenses. People with astigmatism can wear colored contacts or no?
hey love, just got lasik yesterday and plan on purchasing colored contacts down the line when my eyes are fully healed. If you're ever looking for another brand, I heard desio lenses are fantastic. they have Plano ones as well as prescription and toric for those with astigmatism! :) not too mention a huge variety of colors!
I’m wearing the blue ones right now, and I would like to try green next since it looks so good on you! I also have dark brown eyes. Thank you for this!
I’m new to these myself! I have a very light script but they let me go home with the trial pair that aren’t scripted and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m new to contacts but there’s a haze and bluriness when I wear these. My eyes aren’t bad at all so I feel like this shouldn’t happen? How long does it take eyes to adjust to these usually?
I used to wear this brand back when I was in high school, my favourite was the sterling grey one, I wasn't a huge fan of these contacts since they dried up in the middle of the day so I would have to bring my solution and reapply it. I've tried multiple colours from this brand and the only shades I liked were- sterling grey, and pure hazel. Rest of the other colours look super artificial to me.
I think the sterling grey and brilliant blue ones look super fake on me - especially those blue ones! Every time I put them in I laugh at myself and take them out LOL. They do feel a little drying yeah, that’s strange that they don’t seem to have gotten better since you first wore them in high school 😕
Thanks for the review . I have been using them for the last month and for work I just can’t wear them . The monitor looks so bleary. Have you find ones ever since that are comfortable?
I love the green and blue. Who cares if they look natural or not? I wear the Brilliant Blue, get lots of compliments on them. Btw I have naturally grey eyes.
I just picked up the Brilliant Blue and my eyes are just about the same color as yours, this was a HUGE boost for me. Thank you! Super stoked to get them haha
I waited a whole year and then asked my eye doctor for his opinion before wearing them! I think it depends on how fast people heal and what type of surgery so it’s always best to get approval from your eye doctor first before wearing any contacts again!
My eyes are green at sun light, and i tried the Air optix gemstone green...they were a bit more green than my eyes collor, but the thing is now my eyes are THE SAME collor like the lenses, Can lenses change the collor of your eyes?
Where did you purchase? I was thinking 1800 contacts but they’re kinda pricey 31 for a box and you need to buy a box for each eye 🥴 two lenses in a box. Are these monthly?
I actually got these as samples from the optometrist and didn’t end up ordering any after so I’m not sure the price point, but $31/box doesn’t seem unreasonable honestly because you get 6! If your prescription is the same between both eyes you can just get one box!
So I actually don’t know if the cloudy effect is a problem that I experience (and most people don’t) or if it’s an everyone problem - I got a lot of comments saying that it goes away when your brain gets used to it (like how your brain always sees your nose but ignores it!)
@@jenmakesup Thank you. Every time I try coloured contacts I experience the exact same things. In a way, at least now I know I am not the only one. 🙈✌🏼💕
Yes all contacts expire! Usually they are one month or two week disposable and I don’t remember which these are - but the package/your eye doctor would know!
That really is a decision you should make with your eye doctor! Mine said I was good after a year but everyone is different depending on how your eyes heal and how your surgery goes!
I think it depends on the angle you’re looking, how close you are and what the lighting is! It’s not very noticeable unless you’re close - from further away it kind of looks like “something is different but I can’t figure out what” haha. Do you like the subtle blue ones?!
i only tried them on at the optometrist like once, i'm getting them in a week, but yea i think i liked them. the only thing i'm worried is if they're like super unrealistic since my eyes are almost black and its obvious or something, that's why i got the subtle ones, those vibrant blues apparently look very fake lol.
@@jenmakesup ohh and i definitely ended up loving them :D ive been wearing them for about a week all day now haha, even though i bought them just for fun/special occasions 😂
YAY!! Glad they’re comfy enough to wear all day, if you paid for them you might as well get the most wears out of them right?! Every day is a special occasion ❤️
My eye doctor says I’m cleared for all contacts now after lasik! I think it can depend on your Lasik results and how your eyes have healed. Best to talk to an eye doctor first before wearing contacts after Lasik!
For me I waited a year because that’s when I had my check up and my optometrist said it was okay. I think to be safe it’s best to check with an optometrist before wearing any colored contacts!
I have astigmatism and I just got my prescription for the first time with my optometrist since it's my first time wearing contacts. We wanted color prescription contacts & so my optometrist gave me the air optix brand, but I just bought two boxes in different prescriptions. So I wanted to ask if a toric lense is really necessary?? thank you and wonderful video!
not to be nosy, but how much did astigmatism ones run you? did you have to get them custom made and wait for a long time? I want some of these so bad but I have astigmatism.
Each box has 6 lenses so if your prescription is the same then it’s 3 pairs! If they’re different you’ll have to order one box per eye! As for how many times in a row... usually a month but it depends on how often you’re wearing them and if they make you feel uncomfortable! I always throw mine out early if they’re feeling uncomfortable
@@jenmakesup thank you so much for replying, your video was helpfull to because i have dark brown eyes and need perscription lenses ,the info in your reply is super helpful too thank you
I believe they sell them in boxes of 6 individual lenses! These I got from my optometrist just to try so he gave me a pair of each. If you have a different prescription in each eye you’d have to get one box per eye, then you’d end up with 6 pairs!
My best friend from my early 20's had naturally grey eyes. It was the only time I ever saw someone with grey eyes. They were beautiful, I envied him, the girls fell at his feet. I tried many of the AIr Optic colours-NONE of them showed up on my naturally dark brown eyes. Honey was the only one that showed a but..gave my eyes a soft glow but no real colour change. In my 20's, it was easy to find opaque colour changing lenses, I seem to be out of luck now if I want them. So disappointed. Back in my 20's, I wore grey, green, blue, aqua and turquoise. They looked great...but I don't remember the brand.
I just ordered from a site that sells toric contact lenses but I’m waiting for them to come so I can make a review!! I think the industry is starting to make toric ones so you’ll be able to have color contacts soon!
@@jenmakesup OOOOO HUNNI !!!! I CANT WAIT FOR THAT VIDEO !!!! IM EXCITED !!! ITS SOOO HARD FOR ME TO SEE THE CLEAR LENSES IN M CASE BUT IF THEY WERE A COLORED LENS IT WOULD BE SOOO MUCH EASIER TO SEE !!
Haha!!! Yes it would!! And it’s always fun to change up your eye color once in a while! I hope I get these new lenses soon, I believe they are shipping from South Korea so it’s taking a while 😩
Can you try solotica lenses? They are absolutely gorgeous on the eyes and are very natural :) I’d also like to see you review them because there are no lasik reviewers of colored lenses ❤️
Buy any color from the solotica hidrocor collection. they look the best and most natural due to the transparent limbal ring. Get them from the website Lens.me they give the best service and you get them in 3 days or less sometimes.
I want to know how you do with them because im a year out with lasik and i wore them before and they were perfect with prescription and i want to buy them Plano now.
