I drop my air plants in my established fish tank for their soak once to twice a week. There are good nutrients in that water and I see great growth!

nice video...but what if i leave it not upside down? Will it rot? isn't it in it's nature to keep water like bromeliads?

i'm confused. with plants hanging in a frame, do u have to remove each weekly or invert them in water? or is spraying adequate. that would be difficult to have to remove each. and...how often does one add vitamins? thx

This is a great question that is unanswered by Okla Gard. - they suggested this display method on diff. video, but don't state how to water them ... does one really have to remove each one from display each week? Or, using the "shadow box" as shown, the wood frame clearly would not be waterproof.

So we must deconstruct wire display every week?

Hi, I have two air plants One in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. The one in the kitchen gets indirect sunlight. But the one in my bathroom doesn't at all. Is indirect sunlight a necessity for them? I love how she looks In the bathroom. Thank you for the awesome video J

sasha billie You want to give your plant indirect sunlight. Light is the second most important factor in their growth. Try to avoid all day direct sunlight. Sometimes fluorescent lights can do the trick for the correct light range they need.

How much sun does the tillansia zerograghica need ?

Thank you for the informative video. I was wondering if you could just mist them every day or every other day instead of doing a bath once a week.
@OklahomaGardening
@OklahomaGardening 8 лет назад
Thanks for the question +Freedom Dove! The suggested method is to do a bath once a week as it simulates the downpour from where the plant originates. However, if you do decide to mist your plant we recommend only 2 to 3 times per week in between baths. Thanks for watching!

My xerographica is getting the smallest bits of brown on the very ends of a few of its leaves, am I able to just snip those off?? I just don't want to hurt it
@OklahomaGardening
@OklahomaGardening 7 лет назад
Of course! Just go ahead and give those a quick snip! Cutting them at an angle will provide a more natural look when pruning!

Also, try misting them a little on between watering, it’ll help with the tips so they don’t dry out. Good luck!!!
@hoe1989

will they grow back if i cut out the dried tip? any special care needed for fuchsii?
@OklahomaGardening
@OklahomaGardening 7 лет назад
The plant will continue to grow unless you clip the growth point. As for the Fuchsii we recommend normal air plant care of soaked in a bath for 20 - 30 minutes, placed to dry and then misted about 2 - 3 times a week. Thanks for tuning in! Happy Gardening!
