Air compressors take air and pressurize it into an air tank to be later used to raise your air suspension. At Bag Riders, we offer a wide variety of air compressors in different sizes and finishes. With the Viair 444C, do you know if the filter built in is essentially a water trap as well, case being I wouldn't have to include a water trap in the line since the compressor filter takes care of it? Thanks

The air filter attached to the compressor is purely designed to prevent debris from entering the pump. A water trap is recommended on all air ride systems and that should be located between the tank and manifold.

Do you have to update the duty cycle setting in the Airlift controller when going to a compressor with 100% duty cycle?

You want to have the ALP Controller duty cycle set to what your compressor can handle. You can find the specs of what your compressor is rated on our website!

Need a compressor to replace a faulty Firestone compressor for my pickups air bags. I have no tank. Which Viair model would be best? Would like to use the same inflate/deflate switch and wiring that I currently have installed if possible.

What gauge wire comes out of the compressors on a 444c for red & black?

I have a viair 280 it won't shut of? Do the compressors have a shut of switch or is it my pressure switch not allowing the compressor to shut of?

The compressors do not come with pressure switches. What management system are you running?

How is it like running tankless? Im assuming takes a long time and wait and noise all the time when you enter a steep driveway and or bumps?

We won't recommend a tankless set up on air suspension. Having the extra air reserve in a tank will cut down on air up times.

Unfortunately we don't have any longer braided compressor leader lines. What we would recommend is running some 3/8" air line off the end of the braided line to extend the reach of your compressor.

You can run the compressors as much as you like! They are a wear item but we see most compressors last 3-5 years.

The Dual 444c will fill a 5 gallon tank from 165-200 PSI in roughly 1 minute 35 seconds and the dual 485c will fill a gallon tank from 165-200 PSI in roughly 1 minute 15 seconds. Now the 485c compressors do have the newly-developed sleek head design, increased duty cycle and quieter dB levels but come in at a price of $185~ more than the 444c. If you are on a budget I'd recommend the 444c, if you have a little extra money to spend I would recommend the 485c. Both compressors are great at the end of the day. One just has a slightly higher CFM rate.

How long does it take for the compressor to turn on?

The compressors turn on instantly once it detects a signal that the pressure is low in the tank which is around 120PSI for a system that is set at 150PSI.
