You need a t-shirt or a decal with “ It’ll be Fine “ I know I’d buy one to be one of the cool 😎 kids at the next show or swap meet.

I like your work. Just a thought, if you increase the angle of the shocks slightly, you will stop them bottoming out.
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Год назад
The air bags bottom out just before the shocks bottoms out.

having never done any upholstery, when you use the piping how do you attach it. Has it got like a flange you sow to? (Don’t even no what it’s called). I think a little detail like a chrome edge at the front of the panel would be a nice touch like the boot. ( trunk). Anyway very good and looking forwards to seeing the air ride working. Cheers Tim.
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Год назад
The piping has a 3/8 seam allowance that you sew to.
@timferriss905
@timferriss905 Год назад
Got it that’s why you add 3/8 to your pattern.

Have you tried heat forming the tubing it takes time but works great. i use it a lot under hood like for PCV
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Год назад
I’ve seen electricians do that to get shape in plastic conduit. I’m curious if it would effect the pressure rating of the airline?

There is something I would like to do --- if done by an upholstery shop would probably cost quite a bit --- Consew machines --- one is looking at $1.600.00 ----- Too much for only doing a couple of your own cars---- And that would be to sew my own -- for a '30 Model A Coupe ------ Start with the least obvious first -- like -- door cards rather than the seat. ---- It would be a nice accomplishment --- to hopefully feel good about when finished--------------- You mentioned you were using a 1956 Singer Sewing Machine ---- Can you tell me the Model ---- I know all Singers can't sew Automotive material ------ One other thing -- since we are on it ------ What is the Thread you use to do Automotive ----- I don't know if they go by -- thickness -- or -- gage ---- I would think it is a heavy weight to with stand the wear and tear -------- Thank You for Sharing --- and going into detail in the steps --- Really appreciated ---------- Rodney
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Год назад
Hi Rodney, I’m not sure the model of my Singer. $1600 is pretty high, unless it’s brand new. Used industrial sewing machines can be obtained for as little as $500 (mine was even less). Just stick to brand name stuff (Singer, Juki, Phaff) as they are easy to get parts for and service of ever needed.

Shouldn't the Schrader valve be mounted somewhere handy like an air shock valve
@LGKustoms

All the shrader valves are super easy to access. Just pop the trunk, and there they are.
