Yes you need a passport to enter Canada and they stamp you out of St Pierre

@@Departures1 There are many exceptions in the world for that. SPM accepts ID cards for EU/EFTA citizens, and accepts Canadian driving licences IF arriving from Canada AND not staying over 90 days. They'll confirm this if you email accueil-spaf-975@interieur.gouv.fr For that reason, Canada has a practice of accepting similar documentation if arriving from SPM

Very informative video if we enter by air in SPM they make stamp even French passport fly from paris to SPM? If we use ferry from SPM TO NL they make stamp enter and exit

If you have a French Passport and fly from Paris to St Pierre I dont think they will stamp you as you are still inside France. If you travel to Canada you will be stamped into Canada on a French Passport.

EU/EFTA passports are not stamped in SPM, and those nationals can also use ID cards
