Forgot to mention I put four castor wheels, bolted onto the compressor frame, means you don't have to lift it about, simply push to wherever you want it to sit out of the way, works for me,😊
You can add car coolant to the distilled water, and the temperature doesn't rise extensively, it also cleans all water ways in the unit, no build up of anything 😊
Great advice. I have went thru 4 compressors in 3 years. 2 were ac/dc compressors and 2 Yong heng compressors. Fortunately I only had to pay for them each once. I bought rebuild kits from Ali Express for a few bucks and all are working fine to be fair.Amazon treats me right is all I can say. Instead of them asking me to return them…they sent me a brand new ones🤷♂️ so yes…I still have all 4. I take very good care of all of them and only use Royal Purple Synthetic Compressor oil with hour meter and ice water on the Yong Hengs and the only thing that went bad on the AC/DC compressors was the switch it’s self. Upgraded to a 30 AMP switch and zero issues. That Air Venturi compressor is basically a Yong Heng or Tuxing compressor. They are all made in China and parts are stupid cheap. Great little compressors imho! I fill 4 tanks to 300bar multiple times a week so I have nothing to complain about for the money. Twin piston and single both work great and would highly recommend them versus a 3-4K$ compressor which also breaks down. Awesome little work horse for all they cost and the enjoyment we get from their hard work. Easy to repair and cheap to fix. Can’t beat them honestly for the money! Making 4500 psi or 300 Bar is NO SMALL FEAT to those that don’t fully understand. This/these are not your garage compressors that you fill tires with or run tools with. They only make at most 150-180 psi. These are a hole other animal indeed. BTW did you know that Yong Heng mean “Mighty Midget”? Funny right?! Thanks for the information. God bless.
Nice video! I do not own a compressor - but still nice to get some additional info apart from the given by basic compressor reviews. Might get a compressor someday. But for now I have managed well with my DIY handpump contraption because only owning one PCP rifle.
I'll never own a PCP because of all the gear that's required and the gear breaks down to often and being disabled I don't have the ability to constantly fix, repair and tune. For what we pay for our hobby you would think expensive wound equal 99.99% reliability but that doesn't happen!
Not a matter of if these types of compressors will fail but when. Is what it is. Think of it this way. How big are small job site compressors that do 150 psi ?? Pretty much as big or bigger than most pcp compressors. Of course they aren’t going to last when being asked to do 30X the work in the same size package. Kind of a no brainer.
I have found that during the rest period let the cooling system run to bring down the temperature as this in my view point is the reason for the rest period.
The crank broke due to crappy Chinese steel. New one has the same part, made of the same material, by the lowest bidder. Might as well just buy 5 of the cheaper pumps. Just don’t let them get too hot and they last a long time.
Save your money and buy a Bauer Jr. II compressor, German made with quality parts. These Chinese compressors are all the same just dressed up in different appearance.
Yea, because I got $5000 to drop. I get it is better but you got to be kidding. Chinese for $250 for 1 year gives me 20 years of news ones. Is the Bauer going to last 20 years? No maintenance. Cheaper to just buy and throw away a China made.
Never use any kind of water in cooling system because of metal corrosion, only antifreeze or some kind of coolant if you want to extend your compressors life.
The problem with all these compressors is that they are all the same cheap Chines poor quality made (Tuxing etc.) that they sell on Ali Express and a few other sites but rebranded for the US or European retailers. Nothing but pure CRAP! I have been researching these for the past month, and nothing but the same issue no matter what you buy. Less than 10% make it past a year.
