Most important question : Will it last at least 6 months? These little compressors cost WAY TO MUCH , and at that price , it should last for 10 years with proper maintenance. I have yet to see one yet , that gives you what you paid for!
My Nomad II was shipped back for repair . With low hours of pump time on it for what I paid for it. I maintained it as the manual said and it still failed. A hard pass on this one ,sorry!
I hate trying to put silicone oil in my Nomad II as the air swirling around makes it hard to get it in that little hole . So doing maintenance is doable but a pain . I’ll probably upgrade to a Nomad III , and keep the II as a backup or out in the wild . Nice improvement .
I just purchased my nomad 3 and used it to fill my avenger. I set the nomad 3 to 4000psi and everything was fine, then the burst valve on the gun goes off. The nomad wasn't close to 4000psi!! Now my gun is ruined and the part is impossible to find.
Hey man, I just purchased this unit ftom you guys the other day. I have a one of the smaller scuba tanks. Can I use this to fill that if I do it in intervals and let cool off in between times? Tia! Tank is 110ci tank”
Well see. Time will tell. Seems almost as if someone built a seemingly good new compressor build, and now more of the same working principle is being copied and built. ?. This "maintenance free", no cooling water and no oil change required theme has been goming up lately.. This Nomad3 might be a good one. But I've had my eyes on GX compressors lately. I've got no hurry to buy a compressor though - and therefore I'm taking my time to see what time and comments tells us along the way..
