Here is my typhoon 3 extreme from air water and ice it has two 150 gpd membranes setup in water saver config they are boosted to about 75psi to 80 psi via booster pump the water production is great
just to have extra ways to turn the water off to the unit when I get the high pressure valve hooked up I will always leave the water on to it, so it just gives me a way to isolate the system from the tap pump side I put a few throughout the system, I have one on the filtered water side and for straight to water before the di as well, also there is a flush valve on the top of the unit
Hey DJ thanks for the video.... I'm having a problem with my Reef Spartan 300gpd, the 2nd & 3rd chamber (which is charcoal) are at 75% full.. I don't know where the air is coming from, I checked all the gaskets & made sure the canister were all tight... I'm lost bud, any advice I would appreciate. Thanks
Juan Vazquez Hey! You might have restriction after your sediment filter, but probably have an air lock, while the unit is running try cracking one at a time the carbon canisters open a tad and let them fill up. Hope this will help you!
+MrScottJ87 Hey there, I use the RO system differently, I use the RO and DI so I technically remove all minerals from the water, but, It will probably do the job for you, which unit are you looking at? How fast do you want to produce the water? If you are doing a salt water tank like me, you don't want re-mineralize your water, your would want the DI bed resin as your last stage.
+Djdross basically the same model max water systerm in your other video except with a 6th stage remineralizer. as of right now im just looking at drinking water, but thinking about putting a T in before the remineralizer in case I want to bypass it for some reason.
+MrScottJ87 Sounds like a good plan, I still use my max water unit although it is only a 75gpd, and my new one is a 300gpd, I can get away with the less efficient membranes as my incoming tds is only about 30 to 60 max 120 tds at times. You should be happy with your Max Water unit, I have bought numerous filters replacements and such and they always had great customer service.
Hi cru zilla at 1:30 you can see an inline pressure regulator it`s a white looking knob, you can turn it left or right to adjust pressure, but I found that I don't need it, the pump never exceeds 80psi on the system
