I know this video is almost 2 years old but I had to say something. This review is totally biased. I do understand how you can say that you are not satisfied with the AirWick Freshmatic without using the product all the way through. The commentary about the AirWick box was completely unnecessary. The box gets thrown away. It was the same grade/weight of cardboard used for the Glade box. AirWick was the first brand to bring automatic sprays to the consumer market back in the late 2000’s. Before that automatic sprays with only available for commercial use. I have experience with both brands of sprayers. Like most big brand air fresheners, these devices are not meant to be seen. The should always be at least 6 feet above the ground and out of a persons line of sight to avoid being sprayed in the eye. What can you expect of an air freshener that can be purchased at a big box store? It’s not a luxury item, the devices maybe last 2 years before the mechanism goes bad. I was expecting a more thorough review and a description of the scent. Not a first impressions video. If this would have been filmed after you had used the entire can or “refill” then maybe I would have taken your thoughts and comments into consideration before purchasing. But writing this comment almost two years after the video went up maybe your thoughts on the product have changed. Ps. I watched your Glade review and you had nothing but nice things to say, proving to me that this video on AirWick is biased.

So this comment was a waist of my time for reading it , I thought you had something positive to say as I’m looking to purchase either brand or product, that’s why we all turn to RU-vid for these reviews so we don’t have to invest in crappy products, so here you are writing a TROLL review on a 2YEARS OLD VIDEO ! Then you go and redeem your troll COMMENT by saying you watched her obviously updated and a more experienced review , should’ve just viewing the last one and saw how she’s more experienced with her presentation product review & just left it at that ! & after saying your nagging negative comment, you go ahead & praise her last review? You sound...& are the one that is biased ! Go back & proof read your comment and see who’s the one teetering with your words on a 2yr old review !!!!

I'm going to have to agree. You can tell in her tone that she was already biased against Air Wick. I dont have either and am looking for one or the other. I would have appreciated this video more if it was titled "Why Glade is better than AirWick". Like you said, it was a first impression video..there was no in depth review and pros and cons of both.

@dom so it wasn't just me. I'm like did she just explain how to open a fucking box LOL.
@smithmal01

@@marcusant6895 Disagree. She indicated the pros of the Glade vs. the AirWick: 1. Plastic housing feels inferior 2. AirWick is more difficult to open (in her opinion) to change out dispensers or batteries 3. Glade unit comes with batteries (Airwick does not) 4. AirWick dispenser gradiations are confusing (does it mean larger spray, more sprays, faster timed sprays?) whereas Glade clearly indicates that gradiations are spray frequency (in minutes) 5. Glade has manual spray button option (AirWick does not) Seems to me that Glade is a superior product. That being said, her tone did indicate that she was a bit biased from the start but its not like she's a professional air freshner dispensing reviewer that is getting paid to be neutral.

I believe the Air Wick also has 9, 18 and 36 minute interval settings, I turn mine off before bed and the refills have tended to last about 45 days on average although that's always set on maximum fragrance.

I have Air Wick device & it looks different than that one. & I have mine in white. I love that the batteries 🔋 are on top. Easy to take off. When I purchased mine it came with 2 batteries. & I’m so glad that I could use either Air Wick or Glade refills. Cause I accidentally bought a Glade refill & it fits my Air Wick device. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Today I went back and forth between buying Glad or Airwick. I took a look at the Airwick and didn't realize that the bottom and top both come off. I had a hard time trying to figure out where the setting were and getting the bottom off. I am happy I choose glad. I like that the model I bought has a button so you can spray anytime you want beyond it's automatic ability and it comes with batteries. It seem simple, less complicated and better quality also. I am happy to know that I can use Airwick refills with it. I like that Airwick uses some natural oils in their refill cans.

Would you be able to describe if Glade is less potent then Air Wick when it's running? I have used the Air Wick unit and cans and find it is very heavy on one's breathing, for me like the lungs are being lassoed like a cow in a bull show.... I have no allergies and use such products to fend my home from the scent from 4 un-caring pot smoking neighbors in 4 other apartments, Air Wick fights the smell all to well but human lungs pay the heavy breathing price. I want to know if the Glade product is less overwhelming?

I'd recommend an air purifier instead... particularly a floor-standing model. Yes, it's much more expensive that an automatic air freshener, but the air freshener is only masking what you don't want in your environment... and ultimately ends up being TWO things in your lungs that you don't seem to be too happy with. I don't really smoke cigarettes anymore, but when I did, my husband and I both smoked like chimneys in our tiny, little shoebox apartment. But we also had a rotating floor-standing air purifier that was always turned on, 24/7... (it was a tower-style unit by Bionairre... it looked like one of those tower fans). Whenever we had company over they were always surprised to hear that we actually smoked indoors! Gross-factor aside, they always said they couldn't tell at all by the smell of it (or rather, lack of) and the air quality in our home. Mind you, we also had plenty of houseplants (which also naturally purify the air), and often kept the balcony door open as well. But even so, had it not been for the air purifier, it would've been a MUCH different story! That said, I think it'd be helpful for you too... not to mention that cleaner air is a better thing for everyone *anyways*... regardless of pot-smoking neighbours, or not. Even just to get rid of all the dust & other contaminants and allergens that are typically in the air. I'm not knocking air fresheners... I just don't think it's as suitable of a solution for your particular needs & situation... especially considering your experience with the Air Wick...

I bought 2 of the Glade units + lots of refills. LOVED THEM! But after 2-3 months, first one, then the other unit stopped working entirely. After inspection, I saw that the whole inside of both units were coated with the oily film from the spray. So I suspect they shorted out. [I tried cleaning them off with alcohol on a Q-tip, but still no go] As I manually use up the refill cans I have left, [ARGHH!] I'm noticing the stupid sprayer nozzle squirts stuff out to the side, as well as the front. THERE'S YER PROBLEM! I think that's what caused both units to fail. This messy fail wastes roughly 50% of the scent! My finger gets coated with the scent and smells great... [ARGHH YET AGAIN!] As an aside, I wrote the company to complain and they sent me several dollars worth of coupons for their products and an apology. I'm wondering if the AirWick cans also have this nozzle problem? Anyone know?

I have 2 Air Wick sprayers and have never had a problem. I think Glade payed her cause both my Air Wick sprayers came with batteries and are durable, I've had them for about 3 years or so. Never had an issue with Air Wick but I wanted to see if i can use Glade refills with it. Thanks to your comment, I'll use Air Wick only!

Why I buy air wick, they include free battery? Both brand glade and air wick got include free battery n one spray bottle..now days its ridiculous if in one box not complete either battery or spray can. Its not worthy if sell saperately, its nonsense. I thought in this video i could tell which level of fragrance is better, how long it took, which one is more variation of scent or easy to purchase but she more telling about appearance, sealing, material of box which is u will throw away after unboxing😃 ..
