A beginning to end playthrough of Turbo Technologies, Inc.'s (TTI) 1992 TurboGrafx 16 shooter, Air Zonk.
Played through on the normal difficulty level.
This is undoubtedly one of the best shooters ever created. It maxes the hardware well beyond its limits, it's loaded with color, has one of the best old-school gaming soundtracks of all time, and it's bizarre as hell. If you've never played a TG16 game, don't start with Zonk. It'll spoil you for every other game on the machine.
BTW, the music on this game absolutely trounces the music from the CD based sequel. I'll wait for the pitchforks and torches to come after me now... but what can I say? I spit the truth, yo! ;p

I remember playing this at the Toys R' Us TurboGrafx kiosk, it was my introduction to the system. I begged Dad, but he said no.

Bonk becomes a cyborg that can (some how) fuse with his helpers to become a gum ball machine, a robot cow, or a ballistic missile. It's exactly as insane and silly as it sounds, which is exactly why it's worth anyone's while to try out!

I hacked my nes mini and put tons of turbo games on. I gave it to my dad as a gift. Hes fucking hooked on these shooters

I remember bonk I evn had the system as a kid I dnt remember this maybe once I got older and moved on to Super Nintendo or sega genesis systems with my old brothers or simply over looked

Soooo good! I'll give this game 9/10! The Soudtrack is cool! and the colorful graphics are really amazing and beautiful! But there's one bad thing, the game is too short! I can finish it in 50 minutes without save states or cheats! Well... I played in "spicy" mode, i guess this is the normal mode. I will try to beat it in hard mode or whatever wath the game calls it.

On the final boss, there's a spot near the bottom left corner of the screen where you can safely sit and spam bombs.

Yes they did. The original cinematic, in fact, featured Japanese lyrics to the theme.
