this man is the epitome of what it means to worship. He sinned in the past, went to God, and discovered what true forgiveness is. whether you believe in God or not, there's only one thing to say about Gillespie, if there is a God, which i believe there is, Aaron Gillespie is living proof of what it means to be loved and to love in return. This man is the real deal. He says "Lord take me as I am, sin and all."
I hope Aaron remembers and reflects back on these moments. No matter how bad and how hard life gets, this song song is the very thing that gets us through life! Aaron himself told me this at a The Almost concert in Memphis TN.
I hope he remembers what it's like to be in the Father's arms, I hope he misses it and he comes back. He might have left God, but God will never leave him.
Leroy Najatahn Honestly, I can’t blame him. He’s been through a lot, he grew up and saw the faith for what it is...and got frustrated. Jesus got tired of the hypocrites, too.
I just want to clarify that I’m not casting any stone nor judging the man. If I came across that way I apologize. We all have fallen and we all have lost our way. There is no denying he’s been hurt, deceived and in denial. He needs love and support and if Underoath is that to him, then let the process take place.
To whoever dumb fucks is saying this man is an “atheists” you clearly hear a man swear and assume if you swear you don’t believe in Jesus? He still believes in Jesus but he has no faith in Christians. Like you.
He is one of the most inspirational people in christian music, whether its screamo for Underoath, rock for The Almost, or praise and worship for himself, he is a shining light for everyone. :')
i love the way he worships when he does small shows! saw him in july and man was he soo powerful hes a powerful speaker and is changing the world one small step at a time :)
This song hit me this weekend at youth counsils. Ive been a christian for 7 years now, but this past year satan has been tryig toget me and fet ahold of me. Thismorning i prayed for 45 minutes while everyone was singing and having a good time because i could feel satan try to get me and during that satan was tempting me to porn while praying which is really wierd because i dont watch porn and also he kept convincing me that i was going to hell in te next week and he was sayin this worlds ending in a week and im goig to hell. I started to believe it and tearing up. Everyone left and i went back in and saw myfriend in there we prayed together and he kept telling me that because im saved and have God in my heart satans not going to get ahold of me or im going to hell. Just a little bit ago he sent a text about this song again and he told me to listen to it. Itfeels like this song just explains everything i went through this weekend and morning. Thank you aaron for getting this song out. It means a lot for me so much because it just helped me during this circumstance where i thoght i was going to die rght away and go to hell which the devil got to far into me that he made me believe it. This song and weekend was a wakeup call for me that i might have been just drifting too far away from God that i was falling into satans hands.
It's always a blessing to hear Aaron. God is using him in such a BIG way. He's someone I can say I actually admire. He taught me how to Love like Jesus and to Never be ashamed of being a Christian. Thanks Aaron. You're an inspiration to all of us.
God completes His work. The waiting game can be bitter without hope, faith or love. He will finish His work for His people. His promises are irrevocable. He is faithful even when we are not.
@jacobwarren900 Having now personally met this man... I know for a fact his looks are SO incredibly NOT anywhere NEAR his Love for God and what God does in this world. Aaron is a REAL man.
The fact that Aaron is who he is makes followwing God a little easier. He shows that you can look how you want, come as you are, and worship God anyway.
im sure aaron only cares what God views of him thats why he isnt afraid to go out and praise him the way he is. God sees him as beautiful because he pours out his heart to him. Minimize your youtube window and just listen to the video. thats what God sees
Secondly, Aaron's appearance, you can not judge the man's faith, or his heart and how genuine he is based on his outward appearance, that's old testament thinking. Lastly to address a comment made about belief, if you don't want to believe in God, nobody can force you, or else it's not belief, that still doesn't change the truth of the matter.
I can't believe that THIS guy was the drummer of Underoath, i mean, his music now is so soft, calm, it's beatiful, and when he was in underoath he used to look like Animal from the muppets, but he was an AWESOME drummer, he was my inspiration as a drummer :D
This is the third time I have tried to write this... So obviously I believe it is worth saying. I can't believe some of the comments, so I shall address them. First, I think it sounds great, vocally raw -sure, but great. It doesn't sound classically trained but I, and I believe God would agree, much prefer a song sung from the heart, genuine and vocally imperfect, to a song sung by one classically trained, pitch perfect and simply for show. Secondly, Aaron's appearance, you can not judge the ma
@beLIeVEtoserve I would assume that everyone in Underoath is very happy to see Aaron having success on his own. Sure losing Aaron was tough on Underoath, but it's a calling he had to answer, and perhaps the calling for the rest of Underoath is too continue on the ministry they engage in.
Just because they aren't a "christian" band (all members christian) anymore doesn't mean there isn't members who still have their eyes on Jesus. They just don't want to be labelled as a christian band unless the whole band is 100% behind it.
@gooogies the verce is talking about general modesty and dressing. you have to point out here everything in the bible is not written and everything by itself is not a sin. For example using drugs is not written in the bible. so does it mean that using drugs is not a sin. yes, using drugs is not a sin, but the consequences which are followed by a drug abuse are difficult or impossible to avoid. the same is true with Tatoos, but i will leave the details for you.
