Hello Ron..glad to see you putting out videos again...hope all is well with you and yours....I'm thinking I'm going to have to try this one I like it...been painting lures and now I've branched out to painting old decoys and making them look good again it's kinda fun...and yes I use the airbrush also on decoys.. have a good one my friend
I've seen a lot of info online about how fish can see high contrast color schemes better. But I really like the transparent ones and know they will catch fish too. Nice job!
Think I’m also gonna try that with pearl purple covered with candy purple on top after doing one like yours. You’re right about thinning the paint. I thin my Createx with 4011 and add 4050 to make it cover better and it adheres better. I can shoot at 15-20# The color shift always looks great. I have been using it too light. You put it on heavier and I like the effect better. Great looking baits
Yes, I think it just depends on what look your going for sometimes I want a little more black to come thru so I don't put it on as heavy. Thanks for your support!
Great video and painting. I use the Predator 110 blanks and find they are best. I mainly paint and fish their 110+1 and +2 myself in the cold months. I put a drop of clear nail polish over the eyes so the don't move when I brush the epoxy.
Great video. Very informative! I will sign up for the stencil workshop. I am just getting into painting baits. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Really cool pattern!! Love the videos! Was wondering if you could paint a crawfish pattern of some kind on a rock crawler blank? Thanks for taking the time to share the patterns and making the videos!
I've subscribed and wrote a long comment about where to get the looking down eyes and the blanks from but they took it down. Love the channel, I use the same colours as you including the colour shifts and I even use the same blanks, I'm in the U.K. by the way.
Yes I do! I teach 4 hour workshops on cutting/designing your own stencils. These workshops are way more involved then what we can do in a video. If you want to learn how to take your stencils to the next level I encourage you to take one of the workshops. You can sign-up on lurestencils.com so far we have had 16 people take the workshops and now their creating some awesome stencils. Also if you take the workshop you get my stencils for free every time I create new ones.
Just depends on a number of factors like which brush i'm using or if its transparent or opaque. Normally run about 20 - 25 psi but I also thin down thicker paints as well. Thanks for Watching!
