Paul, I love your teaching style, but would like to see more in-depth on the obstacles you encountered. 1/64th cars are my interest atm, but who knows. Keep it up.

Thank you very much for watching and subscribing. Gulf is my all time favorite livery. I have couple of other vehicles to paint in that livery and I think I may re do the gt40. The blue is way too dark. I was trying to mix it from memory, never a good idea. But I have some correct color samples now. Thanks again

Paul, yes I would like to see painting more other models. Much of your skills is transferable across several different lines of models. Cars have always been a priority of mine.

Paul, as a caveat, I have only clear coated a few cars. I use Pledge Floor Polish as a clear coat. It works great and I am happy with the results. I am cheap but not lazy, I use hobby acrylic paints and filter them as you do and so far, my results have been near perfect. I have an air brush that screws directly to the battery/compressor and I know that you like your current set-up but the unit I bought works for me. Keep up the great content. Gene, Ramsay Montana.

nice job on the painting i need learn how to air brush my self , i got some undec HO scale locomotives and rolling stock to pain up in GTW blue or CN red and black with gtw sub lettering . just an FYI for the future HO scale is 1:87. S scale is 1:64. O scale is 1:48

@RoadsAndRailsHobbies 7 месяцев назад
Thank you for the kinds. And you are correct in your scales when it comes to model railroading. 1:64 scale is S scale or what was once American Flyer. 1:64 is considered HO scale when it come to slot cars. If you remember back in the day, I belive it was Lifelike and / or Bachmann sold a combo model railroad and slot car set that had a track pieces that contained both the model railroad tracks and slot car tracks. This was an HO scale model railroad and that scale moniker stuck with 1:64 scale slot cars as well.

I really enjoyed this video, what I especially enjoyed most was the cordless airbrush. I’m in the process of learning as much as I can to paint my own hot wheels (as soon as the cold goes away), and have already bought my first airbrush, a cordless one, from No Name - although not the same used in this video but nonetheless a cordless, which I’m looking to upgrade the airbrush that came with it to something better like a Iwata, and would love if you could do more custom hot wheels painting but if you could explain maybe more in depth the proper mix ratios such as thinner, reducer, clear coat, etc., (I’m very much a newbie) - all of which I’m still trying to wrap my head around, especially when using these cordless airbrush systems (I do not own a normal airbrush with a regular air compressor). Also, maybe show more of the better paints out there like Createx, among other brands, and what it will take to properly mix especially for a 1/64 scale hot wheels, and leave the cheap crafters paint to the side. Great video, and loved the shout out to Diecast Resurrection, hoping that all is well with him.

Well sir, your wish will be granted. I plan on doing much more in depth videos on the subject. This video was not about the process of customizing hot wheels as much as about what can be done with a cheap airbrush and good paint. Thank you for watching and for the great comment. Take care....
