I'm just a sim-pilot, flying the Working Title version of this aircraft for MSFS (aka FS2020), but their model is so good, I feel prepared to just jump into the pilot's seat and go for a hop! I'm not sure what the FAA would think about that, though... Not to mention that my legs don't work right, so I might have a problem getting my medical back. BUT, the good news is that I might have "just enough" motion in my feet to safely use the rudder pedals. Incidentally, WT just got bought out by Microsoft, so you can expect their "mod" to become a standard part of the sim soon. If you're into simming, I highly recommend not only the current iteration of MSFS, but also the WT mod of the CJ4, as well as their G1000/3000/5000 mods which still need some work, but they put the baseline that came with the sim originally to shame, and I'm sure now that they have the full might of MS behind them, we can reasonably expect future iterations to be just as good as the real thing. And if you're _not_ into simming, well, what's wrong with you?? Go out and buy a copy today (actually you don't have to GO anywhere, you can do it right from where you're sitting right now). You do need a stout rig, so if you don't have that, then go get that, too. And if you ask nicely, I may be able to help you configure and even build it. For a fee, of course. I just found myself here by virtue of one of my RU-vid ratholes, and thought I'd offer my no charge $0.02... Thank you to the 12 people who are likely to actually read this!
I'll take your no charge $0.02 and like your comment as well! I've been looking at flight sims and this recommendation helped narrow the margin on my decision between MSFS and XPlane. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Glad you found our channel!
@@jetAVIVA MSFS still has some bugs to work out, but it is the way of the future. XPlane, unless they REALLY get their shit together and catch up to where MS is now (which I doubt is possible, I mean who else has the infrastructure to stream 3PB (that's PETABYTES, and is _not_ a typo!) worth of scenery data to millions of players around the globe simultaneously?) No, once MS/Asobo gets their bug issues worked out, the Flight Sim wars are over (except, ironically perhaps, Flight Sims that involve war which MSFS doesn't do at all, I'd recommend DCS for that). Xplane had their day, but they are, sadly, over. But do let me know once you get MSFS, we can fly together (they offer multiplayer, but 2 players in 1 cockpit isn't active yet), and I can even teach you how to fly a CJ4!! And I was serious about being able to help you design and even physically build a rig.
Like flying a computer, (all that programming) other than the Takeoff & Landing seems the Autopilot does the actual flying and the pilots are just there to make sure the Autopilot is doing what it's supposed to. Great for long flights I suppose, but takes away some of the thrill of Flying where you have one hand on the Yoke and the other on the Throttle.
