Airfix 1/48 Hawker Sea Fury Full Build Part 1 

mrdfac the Eduard cockpit set solve the gunsight problems, I’m building the sea fury now.

The UK mold doesnt have the problem just the ones from India. UK plastic kits are also darker in color.

So how come the kit I bought here in the UK has partial fin?????? think yu are wrong.I wont buy a airfix kit since the sea fury, every kit they sell has issue`s with partial moulding OR brocken or warped parts.

Just to clarify I think he was talking about the kits produced in UK are better as a pose to the ones produced in India, not where the kit is sold. The Sea Fury has known issues which have now been corrected, if you contact Airfix they will send you out a new fuselage sprue👍

Yeah it’s all minor stuff, just would have been nice for this one to be a great kit instead of just a good one

Thanks for the comment, Airfix have some real stunners in their recent catalogue, the 1/48 Stuka B1/2 is a particular highlight, their 1/72 range is also very good. They do have a few misses in there too, this Sea Fury suffers more from quality control issues instead of tooling/engineering. It seems some of the newer batches have much less problems, if any. Check them out they are worth a go.

I would agree that the stuka is a fantastic kit,and the 1/48 defiants are definately worth a look However In the sea hurricane that I bought I found some pretty bad fit issues with the wing halves when building the model with the machine gun breeches in place.

@ Rene...... They way you say it implies making errors is typically Airfix........ Well...... do you know a brand that does NOT make mistakes? I don't.......... And Airfix is getting better and better every year. It's a classic brand and most of their kits are great. In most cases, it's the modeller who screws up, not Airfix. Nowadays they produce the most wonderful, most popular and most iconic kits in the industry !!!!! Not to mention their top of the line, super quality decals. You probably have not been modelling for very long. Try building a kit (new or old) from Revell, Jo-han, AMT, MPC, Matchbox, Artiplast, Special Hobby, Ventura, Heller, Protar, Mach 2, just to name a few....(and yes, I've build all of those and still own a few) They have produced nothing BUT screw-ups, since day 1 !!!!!! Oh....by the way....I have the same kit as the one in the video and mine does NOT have ANY of the issues, shown in this video !! It is a superb kit, super quality, super detailed and the best decals Airfix have ever produced/added. Let it be known ! Another screw up?? HA !! I wish all kits were this bad................................................

I think the Sea Fury is suffering from quality control issues, newer batches seem fine. Mine was one of the first I think.

My Airfix Sea Fury kit has a missing tail !! - my Airfix Tomahawk has a large sink mark on the rudder and cockpit floor
