No conocía la técnica del lápiz para panelar en superficies de aluminio. Siempre se aprende algo nuevo. Gracias por compartir tu trabajo Alejandro.
Nice build my friend I have seen this build a couple of times but I am going to be watching the same vid as much as I can keep up the good work and ALWAYS... with a smile later my friend
Alex, once again you amaze me with your wonderful modelling skills. Your Sabre looks astonishing and i learned a lot for building my own Fujimi F86 Sabre. Thanks for sharing.
The Aluminum looks really good. That Duraluminum wasn't going to cut it. Great recovery. I was surprised when you used the mechanical pencil. Thought I was the only one who might be 'cheating' with those and Mig markers lol. Turned out great man. Thanks again.
I love the sabre plane and if I could only ever build one kit I would chose that one. I have done both colour schemes and the blue and yellow is by far my best. Nice little build Alex taking the kit to the next level. 10 out of 10.
My grandpa flew the CL-13 variant of the Sabre when he was stationed in west Germany back when the RAF operated them during the 50's. He said the thing used to climb like an Angel that was home sick
hey Alex, what are u up to? If you don't mind me asking, been a while since you last uploaded. I actually started making models again, bought a 1/72 Spitfire Mk. V recently, had ur vids on in the back ground whilst i built/painted it. Hope all is well
+ValkyrieBSG hey mate... i have been through some rough times but im "getting up " now... you know.. life "stuff" :) im honored that you use my videos... i am preparing a small build video (leta hope all goes well)... :)
ahh ok man i feel you, thank you for the quick reply :) hope things continue to get better for you. Can't wait for your next build. I've already begun the search for my next build...thinking something like a Mosquito or a Fw-190
You got that looking really great Alex and you proved that you don't have to spend a small fortune on a kit and PE. Thanks for sharing, it was most enjoyable. Best wishes.
oh dear, 3 years on the halt and then all of a sudden...boom it is done :) very cool bird! the sabre is certainly one of my fav jets, because it has somehow a luftwaffe look to it.
Hi Alex. I'm building this same model concurrently with the 1/48 scale Academy, representing the same aircraft. I'm going to use Alclad metalizers with a white base on the 1/72 and a black one on the1/48 for scale effect. Thanks for sharing your build. Got me inspired to jump to the bench and finish those two.
I don't like so much the heavy markings of plane's panelling, with the black ink pen,. It doesn't look like the reality, where panels are fit as possible to the next ones, to avoid loss of performance and drag. Red contours are ok though, they are maybe thinner than real thing, but they do exist. Black contours would be ok for a car model (bonnet, doors, etc), as it corresponds with a real void between parts, but in the case of a jet fighter ?
nice!!! I like the color. how many coats of x22 varnish did you apply? I am struggling with it because I use oil washes and they constantly destroy my gloss goat
How do you do a quick clean of your airbrush between enamel colours? I mostly use acrylic paint to I rinse the leftover paint out with water, drying the inside of the needle area with a paper towel rolled up thin. If you have any tips on cleaning an airbrush for an enamel colour change I will be extremely greatfull!
Very nice! Again something in 1/72nd scale, i like it. I think your full builds are always some good inspiration for techniques and new things. Along with all that good stuff i have some questions: First, what did you use for the panel lines, a pencil or a fine liner? and I always have trouble with the wash, clear coated model and everthing, but when i apply a pin-wash the wash didn't really want to flow in the panel lines, i don't know what i am doing wrong maybe you got a tipp for me? Thanks :)
+ModellbauEinhorn hello! You have to apply Clear varnish! It has to be Clear... if you apply mate or dull coat the wash wont flow... of you apply clear it will be like glass and the qash will flow like a river... also if youbapply on the are you are going to do the pin wash a bit of whyte spirit first it will help the wash! Tey to apply 2 coats or at least one decent coat but don t let it be to thin nor too thick ok? Hope this helps! Cheers
Another time a very nice world. What kind of tool what do you use to sift? And where can I find it? I'm wrong or you have different types of grain? Have a good (model) time!
Hello Alex, can you recommend the metal colors of AK? Do they have to be diluted for the airbrush? And the last question, are the acrylic colors? Greetings Ben.
+Freakazoid aka Ben hello Ben... im not sponsored but these AK extreme metal paints are awsome and direct to the AB... acrilic i recomend Tamyia or citadel
+Freakazoid aka Ben i like Alclad... as for Mig don t know it... Alclad is better i have to give you my opinion... but these are much more simple to operate with
Do you also find it more difficult to continue a kit you started ages ago than starting with a new kit? The F-86 is one of the very few jet fighters I really, really like although the bare metal finish would scare me to death. Good to see that the paint didn't get ripped off by the tape and that you could just polish out the remainders. I like the weathering very much. Very nice job, Alex! :)
+Non-Prolific 1/35th Scale Model Builder how are you? Yes... i find more dificult to re start a kit but this one is a very simple and well molded kit soit was no trouble, but thise 1/32s...man.. thats a nightmare to dtart those again! I really like the Sabre and metal is a color i do like a lot! These paints are very cool i am advertising but i don t really mind that im not sponsored.. lol.. it was a fum project! :)
I'm fine and how are you? I have a couple of unfinished builds and I just realized that it a big mistake I made there. I should at least finsh the build. I can paint them anytime. :) I have no plans for an all metal finish on any kit soon, but if I do I'll try the paints. They seem to be rather easy to handle. What more can a newbie to the AB ask for? :)
0-nurb well i use a NEO IWATA... it was given to me by a good friend of mine! I would recomend that one to you... its a work horse... durabke, reliable and very good quality/price ratio
Sir hi, I am one of your Subscribers, one thing to point out,the decal cut & placed on the speed brakes is wrong, rest of the model is A1 very well made. No hard feelings, I only wanted to help you
+Kairasp Daruwala hello! :) yes you are right and that doesn t ofend me... in fact i Saybit in the video when i shou the stripes i say "Guys the stripe are wrong"... its already corrected... but thank you for pointing it!
+Katapros Pikamonstre wet the surface of the plabe with decal fix... dip the decals in water.. when the decal slide on carrier paper place it and at the end brush it softly with decalfix again
AlexModeling all you can do is make the best of it and adapt. last time I went through turmoil like I quit modeling for 16 years. lost all the kits and supplies I had too. That will never happen again. good to see you're still building
