watching this has literally unlocked my first ever airflare! Thank you so much for the honest build up from humble beginnings!!! Was amazing to see the subtle changes you made which helped you progress.. very relatable
I remember how long I struggled with getting a solid windmill, and then it all came together one day, and felt so rewarding after countless bruises lol. Never got the 1990 perfected, and never any flares, but the airflares I'd probably attempt if I got back into daily practice.
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour I'm here right now: ru-vid.comHDahCHSCtXk?feature=share That annoying right leg just keeps going down. Very frustrating. Not sure how to fix it.
Amen!!! "Whatever you do, do it all for the Glory of God" l. He is my everything! I love Him above all things and I can't wait to be dancing and praising Him in Heaven. Amen brother
Nice man! I retired from breaking in 2006 . My favorite videos to watch are ones like these with you bboys on the rise. I have a similar muscular build as yours and air tracks were a challenge for me too. It took me just as long to get 6 too lol.Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the encouragement. It's such a challenge but also glorious when you get them. Thanks a lot for sharing your story. At least, I'm not alone hahaha
Thanks a lot Carbon! One thing I would ve told myself before is to never give up on something your first started. There are many times I wanted to quit but I already started so I didn't want to loose all the efforts put on it. Be blessed
Wow, you analyzed very precisely. My left leg is still an issue... That's why I'm going banana a little bit. But I'm getting better :) Thanks a lot, man. You are a very good observer
Really good! It is really similar to the guy at the beginning of the video. The only difference I see is that his legs are a bit more straight and he points with his feet.
so cool to get to see the footage of ur hard work and dedication and resulting in you being able to do one of the coolest moves. if i could do those id b busting those out in front iof random ppl to see their reaction haha. Well done
Thanks you so much Ben! This will be forever remembered. I truly believed it even when I couldn't improve. By the Grace of God, I have been able to accomplish what I desired. Thank you for your encouragement. Means a lot to me :)
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor 10:31) Airflares for the glory of God! 💪🏼 Hehe. Yes Bro! Proud christian over here! I’m trying to get my airflares after 7 years (I’m 26) I was never able to make hand airflares, just a couple elbow airflares and then I would mix them with flares or windmills. Hopefully in a couple of years I can have some decent ones. How old are you? I’m from Peru btw.
Thanks man! Remember to never give up. There will be times where you won't see any improvement for so long but, you need to figure out why and move forward
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour things have got better but its take years of practise just to get where i am at with this move. alot of it is fear. breaking the fear takes a long time.
Can you explain the patterns you felt? Also what break throughs you had? Very little is known about the pike style airflare. Asian b-girls from overseas have the slow hopping airflare on lock, but no one talks about it in detail. It would be dope if you could do a detailed pike airflare tutorial. Congratulations on accomplishing your goal ! This is the move that haunts most retired bboys in their sleep.
Sry but "haunts retired bboys sleep" is so true u nailed it i thank u cause I had a bad day n u made me laugh😂 ..i think i can do airflare again but it will take at least 2 or 3 months if i start again and im actually thinking about it ..just for the fun and i want my physically back im 35 so now or never . 💪✌️. Sry for babbling but that statement was too real!
@@MarcusIllgren-lt1ge Im glad I could brighten your day with that true statement only very few people on planet earth can relate too. Im going on 44 and still moderately working on air power. Started in 1993. Also this year focusing more on flexibility & almost got the pancake stretch on lock & bridge walk overs. Imo, key to not injuring your shoulder in your 40's is to do shoulder stabilizer exercises. I will start a street gang when i master airflares. Low Swinging airflare gang & the high hopping airflare gang, we dont get along & often talk sheit about eachother.
@@kendalgee5808 sound's great I started 1998 stopped around 2013. my shoulders have actually never been injured and that's the most normal thing for bboys I know it's wierd I had backpains n my writs and groin area bcuz of flares ..I use to do both airflares cause I learned the high hoping first but always when I did it from a combo flare to airflare for example I automatically did the lower... Keep on keeping on bro! once a bboy always a bboy 🔥💪✌️
@@MarcusIllgren-lt1ge Your like me. Off & on. Bboying, capoeira, tricking, gymnastics side tracked me. I never warmed up or stretched. Only until age 37 my body started to get injured. Doing super fast windmills without stretching finally pulled my hamatring. Then eventually a shoulder injury carelessly practicing airflares. Only until I reached age 37 did injuries start to occur. I was 5"11 220 , went on carnivore diet & effortlessly lost 30 pounds to 190 lbs in 4 months. Its helped my air power & less taxing on my joints now. Ya, i feel u on the flare pains, i did 16 nonstop flares in 1996 high school with no pain, but i was 5"11 160 lbs at the time. But my superfast windmills, if i did more than 5 explosive sets back in the day, the next day my inner thighs were hurting. Almost as if i did the female inner thigh machine at the gym. lol
Man. I was expecting a broken shoulder by watching the first minute. Your technique in the beginning was dangerous for you shoulder. However you changed technique and managed to learn airflare. Congratulations mate.
Heyo nice progression! I suggest working on controll. For example one airflare to handstand or spinning handstand. Helped me a lot to maintain high and stability.
Yeah very good that you get that first. 1. Consistent. Train the technic by swinging your leg as close as possible to the floor. (Pike freeze will help you get the feeling of doing a clean airflare but it's nit required). 2. Make sure your hips "hop" because many forget to push with their hips. Your swinging leg must swing on a rotation like a swipe. 3. Make sure your arms are wide and they don't push too much. That's how i got my injuries. Everything must happen with your legs and hips. 4. Stretch everyday to gain the flexibility, it will be much easier. 5. Train as much as possible.
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour ahhh!! Ok perfect bro. So when you say swing my legs as close to the ground, you mean for the entrance? Also, AS SOON as I put both hands down, that's when I put my chin close to my chest? Man I'm so use to doing swipes my foot touch the ground, so I swing my main leg down, and up?
@@brian1291 Yes that's right for the entrance and you will see that for the next ones it will come naturally. One tip I forgot to mention, is that to practice the entrance, my eyes are always on my swinging leg. It will help you keep your chin close to your chest. But i wouldn't put focus on that... For the swipe, it's ok if you can't do it perfectly ( I cannot do swipe either), it will help you on having the rotation clean. To practice the arms, use a wall and I try to rotate on airfare motion on a wall. After, try to do a pike, and hop while you are piking on both hands. 👈This will help you a lot on the catch of your Airflares :) Good job brother, I would like to know how you are doing :)
I'm 24 years old now, i was around 19 when I started. Thanks a lot man. The younger you start the better. For people that are 30 years who want to learn the airflare, it's going to be a little bit harder
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour I’m 25 and im gonna start training airflares like crazy now. You got me motivated. I have a good ass handstand and good walkovers i just need to fuckin do it lmao
When I first started the airflare, I practiced just once a week because of school. But When I graduated in 2017, I practice 3 times a week. Most often, I got injuries and I had to wait for a lonnnnng time until I get recovered and start practicing again.
@@God_Jesus_is_Saviour what a long journey but you nailed it like a pro, im trying to flare a month ago but for me its a bit harder, cuz i dont have a place to practice and when i do its one day per week do you have any tips?
@@semear97 No! No need. I suck at footwork myself. You need to learn windmill+flare for sure. I can't swipe, but swipe helps as well to have a good rotation. I also suggest that you have a good flexibility to make your airflares pretty. One thing I should've done before that I didn't do. Instead of trying and trying hard to do 1 perfect airflares right away. Focus on doing small airflares exercises. It will reveal your mistakes and it will cleaned it fast. Be blessed bro
One of my main problem was the technic. I was doing it wrong for so long and my brain got used to the wrong technic. My best advise, depending of where you are at, is to understand the movement rather than just trying. Pay attention to your hips / and your arms. Let me know what are you most mistakes and I can probably help you
