I’m 260 pounds and really have nothing going for me, but my oldest brother was in the Airforce and my middle brother is a marine, today I start my journey to lose weight and sign up and put my country first. God bless all of our service members
@James X There is good in the service. Roof over your head? Benefits? Free college? Y'know? The shit everyone wants? And yeah I'm sure they are killers. Because everyone in this video are certainly going around killing foreign civies. STFU some of these kids are security forces, some of these are medical students, some are mechanics. Not every single military member goes around killing people. It takes courage to enlist in the military and fosters dependence on one's self. The fact that you say there's nothing good about the military and that's it's just killers, tells me you didn't do your research and are therefore weak-minded.
The memories of bmt. For any of my future airman joining me, some advice for boot camp would be to just go in with a strong mind. It’s mostly mentally hard. You’re going to have to learn to work, live, eat and even shower with people you don’t know while being yelled at and being exhausted but it’s very very worth it. Remember why you joined and stay motivated. You can do it 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Study the book... get one at the library. Made a 90 on it when i tested. BMT is a fucking joke nowadays. even since I joined in 2012 it has completely changed, way easier. the only people who get kicked out or get recycled are complete fuckhead retards. i spent 5 months in BMT cause I dislocated my knee, even still it was fucking cake back in 2012. all in all, your asvab wont mean much, the only jobs that actually require a good asvab score are going to be jobs that actually require intelligence. Although I dont really know much about other jobs other than the maintenance world, and I dont know what you're planning to be when you join, I absolutely love the maintenance side of the USAF. Hope you do well.
The #1 thing you can do to prepare after you successfully pass your ASVAB, which you must study very hard for so you can get a "good" job, will be to TRAIN and TRAIN and TRAIN some more. You do not want to show up without being able to perform the AF min. PT standards. It only makes basic so much harder if you don't.
I'm trying to push to finish school this December.. but can't walk the stage till may, is it possible to go to basic during that time where I'm not doing anything?
Lackland Air Force Base has changed since I was there 1976, however one thing has not changed, the Air Force is still the best Air Force in the world! Congratulations Airmen!
A graduation ceremony? Nice touch. In 61, after completing basic training, 8 of us were still awaiting orders for combined arms training at Ft. Lee, Va. The TI told us to get the h---ll out of his barracks. We had nowhere to go. I finally got up enough courage and ask him what we should do. He replied to start knocking on barrack doors until someone would allow us to stay. 8 weeks later we had orders cut. There were no graduation ceremony. no family or friends , times have really changed, some for the better.
Being a Former Marine for 10yrs I think I should have join the Air Force. But diffence between Marines and Air Force is that the Marines comes face to face to the enemy and kill them, and the Air Force doesn't need training like the Marines. Thank God we have the Air Force out there to kill the enemy above. Khe Sanh South Vietnam , 42,000 North Vietnam troops against 16,000 Marines, it was the US Air Force B52's that won that battle. I'm 80yrs old and still trying to find me a Airforce B52 Pilot that shake his hand and thank him for saving my Butt.
In September 1979, It was not like that at all. We showed up, Marched pass and review . A few speeches, Handed out some awards. And marched back to the dorm . Packed up our stuff and off to teach school the next day. All in 6 weeks. I was sent to Sheppard AFB.
i was in Lackland Air Force, is a great experience. I´m graduated in AFB Lackland San Antonio Texas, as Officer Cybernetwork & CyberSecurity by IAAFA at April 2017. I love the Air Force US Good bless all airman. 837th squadron with proud Here present!!! I remenber that´s moments in Amigo Inn, Popeyes Restaurant, the commissary store and BX Exchange. My brother went to basic on the first of November and graduated in December in 2016. I graduated June 19th from high school and going to basic December 19th, I thought it'd be pretty cool if I got the 1st of November like my brother, but cant wait to go nonetheless. So far MEPS was the only terrible experience 'hurry up and wait'
I’m signing up pretty soon, I just graduated hs I know you’re comment is old but do you have any information on if the graduation is still the covid graduation.
i went through basic in winter/spring of 1978. 3 days before graduation several people as well as myself were pulled out and directed to pack n leave at once for the air force police academy....we never had graduation from basic, turns out when the rest of the flight was graduating we were eating pizza and drinking beer.
Congrajulations to all who graduated and good luck to you guys. I believe that the United States Air Force is one of the greatest resources of The Department of Homeland Security and Defense. I think your graduation is a honor and a badge of bravery, while you serve for The United States of America. Congrajulations! It would be my honor to do the same!
Um this is graduation from BMT? We marched down the bomb run and then back to the barracks then some were allowed to be with parents for a couple hours and then we all were done the next day.
What's the cadence that they're singing while they're running? Sounds like they're saying "what's it feel like? To be hit by? (Something something) whooooa!"
STFUImBigBoned it depends on what squadron they’re in! For instance, I know 331st squadron is wolf pack and they’re saying “what’s it feel like? To be bit by? By a wolf pack” and I know the maroon ones are mustangs because I heard them. It just depends on the mascot.
Adam not one person in this graduation is a pilot. They graduate from the Air Force Academy in Colorado, the Officer Training School in Alabama, or at their respective colleges as part of Air Force ROTC programs.
M C my was in Air force 1985 to 1991 Military Police a good recruit one and only in my heart thank you for his training Altus and Prum Germany and High wickam U K My Grandma from Scotland had 3 brothers in First World War her youngest brother James Barker was killed in First World War no body returned home. You become an airman in your cammies, but the day after there is a graduation parade that is in blues. Hat probably blew off due to wind, have to maintain that military bearing
These are an example for the Air Force? WOW! How disappointing to see so many out of step and in general showing a lack of hard training and discipline! USMC puts these people to shame. Oh yea, I am a former Airman myself so that gives me the right to criticize!
12:39 the guy who lost balance doing a left face 😂 he were in any other branch he would’ve probably gotten fried in front of his family lmao cause that shit was too noticeable...
